And so it begins!!!

This Saturday is the very first of my festive markets - you’ll find me at the beautiful First Frost Winter Fair at Frensham Heights with 𝙷𝙾𝙼𝙴 & 𝚅𝙸𝙽𝚃𝙰𝙶𝙴 𝙻𝙸𝚅𝙸𝙽𝙶 from 9:30AM - 3:00PM, armed with bundles of Hornsea, Tremar and our original amber glass jar candles 🤍

I’m so excited for the coming weeks, this really is my favourite time of year! Last weekend a customer made my day when she told me it’s not Christmas without an EARLEY+DAUGHTERS december candle on the go 🥰 I love that in just four years of business we are becoming part of your festive traditions! Well today was a wild one 😂🌬️🍃🌀 Definitely the windiest conditions I’ve ever traded in, plus it was bloody cold (hands up who didn’t bring their big coat 🙋🏼‍♀️) AND it was starting to get dark as we were packing up! But you know what that means, don’t you…?

It’s officially candle season!

Nothing beats battening down the hatches and reading a book / watching a film by candlelight while a storm rages outside if you ask me, and it looks like we’ve got a few weeks of bad weather lined up so I’d say it’s definitely time to treat yourself to a new EARLEY+DAUGHTERS candle!

I’m very glad to be trading indoors both days this weekend… you’ll find me at 𝙷𝙾𝙼𝙴 & 𝚅𝙸𝙽𝚃𝙰𝙶𝙴 𝙻𝙸𝚅𝙸𝙽𝙶’s First Frost Winter Fair at Frensham Heights on Saturday and at Clapham vintage & flea at the Omnibus Theatre on Sunday. Wrap up warm and come say hi 🤍

We have sold out. I can’t actually believe it! Thank you thank you thank you!

This was our largest create-your-own drop to date and as a small business you always worry that things will be a flop or that you’ve got it wrong. I’m so happy that I haven’t (yet!) and that you all love this iconic Hornsea pottery as much as I do 🥹

I’ll start pouring next week and your perfect candles be winging their way to you on or before 6th November.

Off to stop stressing and drink w**e with a full heart now. I am so grateful! Have I already said thank you? THANK YOU!

TWO DAYS TO GO until we launch our final batch of create your own Hornsea candles of 2026!

This is our largest collection to date - we have both sugar bowls and spice pots available in saffron, bronte, fleur, autumn brown heirloom, and a very limited number of lakeland green heirloom and tapestry.

Our sugar bowls are 210g (a 45hr burn time), come with their original ceramic lids and are priced at £45.
Our spice pots are 60g (a 12hr burn time), come with their original wooden lids and are priced at £20.
Both come in a hand stamped organic cotton pouch 🤍

It’s officially candle season 🤍

I’ve kick started the new week with a morning of admin. Our events calendar is now officially fully booked for the rest of the year and I’m so excited to be heading back to some of my favourite festive events over the coming months!

This Friday we’re also launching our final batch of create-your-own Hornsea candles for 2026. If you’re new here, this is an opportunity to create your perfect Hornsea candle… you pick the Hornsea pattern and the EARLEY+DAUGHTERS fragrance and I will then pour your candle to order.

This time we are also offering mini spice pot candles alongside our usual sugar bowls - perfect secret Santa presents, stocking fillers and little token gifts for friends and family who have a nostalgic connection to this beautiful vintage pottery!

These will go on sale THIS FRIDAY, 16th October at 8:00PM. If you’re signed up to our mailing list, you’ll get first dibs half an hour before (you can sign up via the link in our bio). The order book will close on Monday 19th, or sooner if we sell out (and we always do).

Today is my last proper day off before Christmas (booked it off to get Glastonbury tickets and failed miserably 👹👹👹) so while I’m feeling fed up I thought I’d jump on and post about the launch of our final batch of design your own Hornsea sugar bowls for 2026. I have LOTS available but just like Glasto tickets, these always sell out straight away!!!

They will go on sale to my mailing list subscribers at 7:30PM on Friday 16th October and on general sale at 8:00PM (if there are any left). This is your only chance to order something special for Christmas, so please mark your calendars and don’t miss out! Now I’m off to do the big shop, read the papers, drink a glass of w**e at lunchtime and cook a roast… just how Sundays are supposed to be spent!

October is a brilliant month of events for me, starting this Saturday with the launch of the annual 🎃pumpkin🎃 festival at Crockford Bridge Farm farm (also the last Avant Market of the year 😢). Shop with artisan makers and vintage dealers, PYO pumpkins (remember to book), visit the garden centre and treat yourself to pizza and a pint! THE BEST way to spend an autumn Saturday!

Then next weekend it’s my final Flo’s Market of 2026. People of Portchester, this is your last chance to stock up on seasonal candles and to buy any pressies with me in person! There’s going to be a stellar line up of local businesses and makers as always, definitely the place to go to make a start on your Christmas shopping!

I’ll be back in the motherland, on my usual pitch at Richmond Duck Pond Market | Est. 2008 twice this month, on Sunday 11th and Sunday 25th… The last of the ‘summer’ markets before we switch to winter trading hours in November!

Then Saturday 31st is the 𝙷𝙾𝙼𝙴 & 𝚅𝙸𝙽𝚃𝙰𝙶𝙴 𝙻𝙸𝚅𝙸𝙽𝙶 First Frost Winter Fair, an event I’ve been looking forward to for months 🤍🤍🤍 Book your tickets online, in advance, and for all you vintage hunters there’s an early bird option so that you can get first dibs on all the beautiful treasures from some of the best antique dealers in the UK ✨
