Our amazing reception staff won a “Highly Commended Award” tonight at the Alive & Beyond Awards. If anyone deserves it these ladies do. Havering Libraries has launched Havering Reads for Children as part of the National Year of Reading 📚

The initiative encourages children to read the same books, share their thoughts and talk about their reading experiences together.

Two books have been selected:
📖 The Great Pollination Investigation by Deborah Hocking
📖 At the Bottom of Dudley's Garden by Dinah Mason Eagers

Both titles are available in borough libraries and have also been gifted to Havering’s primary schools. They support the Plants for Pollinators campaign, highlighting the important role pollinators play in our environment and how everyone can help protect them.

The programme will also include live author visits to schools and story and craft sessions during the half-term holidays.
