Hawick and Greenside Veterinary Practices. Three sites. One team. 🐾
Following the success of our combined out-of-hours service, Greenside and Hawick Vets are now continuing to work together as one practice across three sites — St Boswells, Jedburgh and Hawick.

What does this mean for you?
📞 Greenside St Boswells is now our main phone hub, so when you call the practice, our client care team will help direct you to the right place or person.
Our number remains 01450 372038

📍 You can still contact and visit whichever site is most convenient for you during office hours — just let us know your preferred site when booking.

💊 If you’re collecting medication or food, simply tell us which site you’d like to collect from. Please note, reception is not staffed at Hawick between 1-2pm.

By working together, we can share our team’s knowledge, skills and facilities across all three sites, giving you more flexibility and better continuity of care.

Three sites. One team. ❤️

🌟Nova🌟
Nova was brought into us after getting herself into a bit of trouble!
She managed to get her mouth wedged inside a rubber ball and it became stuck.
We gave Nova some sedation to help her relax and we were able to safely cut the ball free from her mouth.
🐾Nova had no injuries to her mouth and went home to sleep off her eventful day.🐾

🩸An insight to behind the scenes... A single drop of blood can reveal so much about your pet's health.

Here is nurse Jenny preparing a blood smear. Often our nurses support our vets during their consultations in order to support the high level of care we provide.

When your pet has a blood test, we may also prepare a blood smear - a thin layer of blood spread onto a glass slide to be examined under the microscope.

This simple technique helps us look closely at your pet's blood cells, enabling us to;
➡️Assess red and white blood cells.
➡️Check platelet numbers.
➡️Detect blood parasites and other abnormalities.
➡️Gather valuable information that complements automated blood test results.
