Protect your little one this winter with the 𝑭𝑹𝑬𝑬 𝑵𝑯𝑺 children’s flu vaccine at Phynix Pharmacy.

For many eligible children, this is given as a quick nasal vaccine (Fluenz) — a simple alternative to an injection.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, eligible children include:
✅ 2 and 3 year olds
✅ Children aged 2 to under 18 in clinical risk groups

💉 Had your first Meningitis B (MenB) vaccine? Don’t forget dose two!

You need 2 doses, given at least 4 weeks (28 days) apart, for the best protection.

You may be eligible for the free NHS MenB vaccine if you are:

✅ Aged 17 or 18 and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
✅ Under 25 and starting university or moving into eligible residential further education for the first time in autumn 2026

If you’ve already had your first dose, make sure you complete the course—even if your first dose was given somewhere else.

Appointments at Phynix Pharmacy start 1 October. This year, eligible children can receive their NHS flu vaccination here too!

🧒 CHILDREN’S FLU VACCINATION

✅ Children aged 2 or 3 on 31 August 2026
✅ Children aged 2–17 in a clinical risk group

Clinical risk groups include certain long-term conditions or a weakened immune system.

Healthy school-aged children are normally vaccinated through school. Pharmacy catch-up vaccinations for those who miss theirs begin 1 December.

💉 ADULT FLU VACCINATION

You may be eligible if you are:

✅ Aged 65+
✅ Pregnant
✅ Aged 18–64 with certain long-term conditions
✅ Living in a long-stay residential care home
✅ Receiving Carer’s Allowance or the main carer for an elderly or disabled person
✅ A close contact of someone who is immunocompromised
✅ Aged 16+ and experiencing homelessness
✅ An eligible frontline social care worker without an employer-led vaccination scheme

Clinical risk groups include diabetes; heart, lung, kidney, liver or neurological disease; weakened immunity; spleen problems; severe obesity; and certain learning disabilities.

💙 NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE NHS FLU VACCINATION?

Private flu vaccinations are also available at Phynix Pharmacy. Contact us for details or to book. Eligibility and clinical suitability apply.

🛡️ COVID-19 VACCINATION

COVID-19 eligibility is narrower:

✅ Adults aged 75+
✅ Residents in care homes for older adults
✅ People aged 6 months+ who are immunosuppressed

Flu and COVID-19 eligibility are different—you may qualify for one but not the other.
