Another full day session power through for this beautiful koi fish. Perfect placement for the inner lower leg. There’s two ways to look at this tattoo.
1: koi represents a determined spirit, carrying warmth, courage and good fortune through life’s challenges. 2: Looks cool as F**k does that pal. You decide 😊.

Fun fact: Despite the name, Foo Dogs are actually Chinese guardian lions. They were traditionally in pairs and placed at the temple entrances to keep anything nasty from getting in like in-laws and such.
Bold lines, flowing detail and a face that says, “Tha not coming past me pal.”
Cheers for sitting for it dude

Second session on this one and it’s really starting to come together.

This sitting was all about packing in more solid black, smoothing out those silver-grey tones and building the depth and contrast throughout the piece.

One more session to finish the remaining areas and bring everything together. Proper looking forward to seeing this one completed.

Here’s one from sketch to skin.. client originally wanted a very small koi design so I gave it the cavesy touch and we both agreed that this slightly bigger design would work better. 😊. Now taking bookings for November if you’re interested in making your new ( not so small tattoo) then please feel free to message me. The Country Gent tattoo , holmfirth
