I don’t know about you, but when the colder weather starts coming in, I always find myself thinking about the people we love and worrying about them that little bit more

We can’t always be there ourselves, can we?

Sometimes it’s just popping in to make sure the heating’s on, the fire’s lit, they’ve got something warm to eat, or just sitting with them for a cuppa and a chat.

We can help with the shopping, taking them out, little jobs around the house, or just being there for some company.

It might not seem like much, but sometimes that little bit of help gives you such peace of mind

That’s what our little family is here for 🥰

We thought we’d let you see a side of Colne Valley Community Support that you don’t see !

The bit behind the scenes.

Because when you think about a care and support company, you probably think about the carers going out to see people.

And of course, that’s a huge part of what we do.

But there’s another whole side that happens behind the scenes — and that’s usually me and Heather! 😂

There are phone calls, messages, rotas, sorting out cover, speaking to families, speaking to carers, organising visits, answering questions, checking everything is going okay and making sure people are getting the support they need.

Then there’s the paperwork… lots and lots of paperwork! 😂

There are days when one of us will say,
“Right, what have we actually got to do today?”

…and before we’ve even finished the sentence, the phone rings! 😂

We talk about clients, carers and the business constantly.

We plan.

We problem-solve.

We worry when someone isn’t doing well.

We celebrate the little wins.

And sometimes we sit there with a cup of tea thinking, “How is it this late already?” 😂☕

But honestly, we wouldn’t change it.

Because behind every visit is a person.

Behind every person is a family.

And behind every visit is a lot of work making sure everything comes together properly.

That’s what we love about being a small, local, family-run business.

We’re not sat miles away in an office.

We’re right here.

We know our clients, we know our carers, and we’re involved in the day-to-day.

So next time you see one of our carers out and about in the Colne Valley, just remember…

There’s probably two women somewhere behind the scenes answering messages, organising the next thing and drinking far too much tea! 😂❤️
