👋 Meet our new Foundation Dentist!

We’re delighted to welcome Kenan to the team at Hunmanby Dental Practice, where he’ll be spending the next year with us as part of his Foundation Training.

For Kenan, one of the best parts of being a Foundation Dentist is getting to learn the ropes of dentistry in the real world, gaining hands-on experience and discovering just how enjoyable the job can be.

Outside of dentistry, you’ll usually find him playing football, spending time with friends or travelling whenever he gets the chance. ⚽️✈️

Kenan will be calling North Yorkshire home for the next year before heading back down south.

We’re really pleased to have him as part of the team, make sure you say hello if you see him around the practice! 🦷

Another new addition to the practice 🦷

We’re continuing to invest in digital dentistry with our new 3D printer. This clever piece of technology allows us to create precise, custom-made dental restorations, including crowns, right here in the practice. Helping to make treatment more efficient and convenient for our patients.

Another exciting step forward in the technology we can offer at Hunmanby Dental.

Healthy teeth start with healthy gums 🦷

Your gums play an important role in your overall oral health, but signs of gum problems can sometimes be easy to overlook.

Bleeding when brushing, red or swollen gums, persistent bad breath or gums that appear to be receding can all be signs that they need a little extra attention.

Regular brushing, cleaning between your teeth and attending routine dental and hygiene appointments can all help to keep your gums healthy.

If you’ve noticed a change in your gums or it’s been a while since your last hygiene appointment, get in touch with our team we’re always happy to help.

Practice Manager Appreciation Month 🎉

We’re shining the spotlight on someone who knows our practice better than most - our Practice Manager Jane, who has been part of the team for an incredible 41 years!

Over the years, Jane has seen the practice grow and change, supported countless members of the team and welcomed generations of patients through our doors.

Her experience, dedication and knowledge of the practice are such an important part of what we do, and we’re incredibly lucky to have her.

Thank you for everything you do 🦷

Thinking about a straighter smile? 🦷✨️

SureSmile Clear Aligners offer a discreet and removable way to gradually straighten your teeth, using a series of custom-made clear aligners created specifically for your smile.

You'll move through a series of aligners during your treatment, with each one designed to gently guide your teeth towards their planned position.

Unlike fixed braces, your aligners are removable, so you can take them our to eat, drink and clean your teeth - making them easier to fit around everyday life.

Every smile is different, so your treatment plan and timescale will be tailored specifically to you following an assessment with your dentist.

Interested in finding out whether clear aligners could work for you?

Get in touch with our team to book a consultation and start your smile journey.

More hygienist availability 🦷

Good news! With our Therapist Holly Lemke now increasing her days at the practice, we have more availability for hygiene appointments throughout the week.

Regular hygiene appointments are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile, helping to remove plaque and tartar build-up, support healthy gums and prevent problems before they develop.

If it's been a little while since your last visit, now is a great time to get booked in.

Something new at the practice 🦷

Our new CBCT scanner provides detailed 3D imaging, giving our clinicians a clearer view of your teeth, jaw and surrounding structures to support assessment and treatment planning. Particularly for dental implants and more advanced restorative cases.

It’s another way we’re investing in technology to support accurate, considered care for our patients.
