Say hello to Samantha 👋

Samantha is one of our Territory Managers, covering East Anglia, Central and North London, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and beyond.

She’s been part of the Daylong Direct team for 18 months and is still relatively new to the world of wound care and compression.

Outside of work, there’s plenty keeping Samantha busy. She’s a self-confessed crazy cat lady with three cats (so far!), has a side hustle making polymer clay earrings which she sells at artisan markets, and is also a biker! 🏍️

In fact, Samantha completed her motorbike test just one month before her 40th birthday and now rides a BMW R1200RS (although, in her own words, she also “falls off it quite well”! 😂)

Her favourite Daylong Direct product is the Solidea® Silver Wave Skin Compression Bra, which she loves for its ability to make a real difference to patients’ lives.

Could a donning aid make compression easier for you or your patients? 👀

Here are three signs it might be worth considering:

1️⃣ Putting compression on is becoming physically difficult: Reduced strength, grip, or mobility can make pulling a garment into position challenging.

2️⃣ Application is taking a lot of time or effort: If getting a garment on is becoming frustrating or exhausting, an application aid could help simplify the process.

3️⃣ Help from someone else is regularly needed: The right donning aid can support greater independence with compression, while also making application easier for carers and healthcare professionals.

What a great day at the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Tissue Viability Link Nurse Conference! We’ve really enjoyed meeting healthcare professionals and having so many valuable conversations around wound care and supporting patients in their day-to-day lives. Another fantastic Macmillan Coffee Morning! ☕️💚

Every year, our team comes together to host a Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, and this year we’re delighted to have raised £335!

Cancer is something that has touched so many of us, whether personally or through family, friends or colleagues, so this is a cause that feels particularly close to home for our team.

Our Coffee Morning has become something we look forward to each year. Everyone gets involved by baking, bringing in treats and donating, giving us the chance to come together as a team while doing something positive to support people living with cancer and their families.

Macmillan provides vital practical, emotional and financial support to people when they need it most, and knowing that even a small contribution can make a difference is what keeps us taking part year after year.

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated and got involved. We’re so pleased to have raised £335 for such an important cause. 💚

That’s a wrap on ! 👏

We’ve had a brilliant three days in Chester, connecting with healthcare professionals and sharing how Daylong Direct supports patients through our NHS Prescription Service, Formeo and our range of compression solutions.

A particular highlight was hosting our two breakfast sessions with Clinical Manager Lorraine Nisbet, exploring 3D micro-massage solutions for lipoedema and breast lymphoedema, and sharing the latest clinical evidence and real patient experiences.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our sessions or stopped by the stand to chat with the team. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones too!
