Please Be Kind to Our Reception Team

We know it can be frustrating when appointments are limited, waiting times are longer than expected, or you are worried about your health. Our reception team speak to hundreds of patients each week and are doing their very best to help everyone access the care they need.

Unfortunately, we have recently experienced an increase in abusive and aggressive behaviour towards our staff. This includes shouting, swearing and personal abuse. This is not acceptable.

Our receptionists are here to help. They work within the appointment system agreed by the practice and do not control the number of appointments available each day.

We ask all patients to treat our staff with the same courtesy and respect that they would expect themselves. We understand that people may be distressed, unwell or frustrated, but abuse of staff will not be tolerated.

Thank you to the vast majority of our patients who continue to treat our team with kindness and respect. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

✅ Minor illnesses and self-care advice - Contact your local pharmacy.

✅ Urgent medical problems that cannot wait until the practice reopens - Call NHS 24 on 111 after 6pm.
