This time of year can bring lots of excitement on planning the remainder of the year.

Christmas is a time where we celebrate as a family and make Christmas as magical as possible for our children.

People save up all year round to create these magical memories just to see the magic that they have planning unfold on Christmas Day.

However, as we all know families can find themselves in unfortunate circumstances that can cause issues with finances, meaning that they will have to prioritise the necessities over extras such as Christmas presents.

These circumstances do not discriminate and can also affect our ASN families also. With caring duties increasing meaning families are unable to work as they once did are one of many reasons our families may end up in these difficult situations.

For the past few years within my own job we have supported this cause. It brings us great joy knowing that a child will wake up on Christmas day with a present bought specifically for them. This will allow a family to feel a little lighter on Christmas morning.

Please let the team know that you have seen this advertised via ASN Support - Ayrshire and you will be allocated an ASN family.

You will then be allocated a child and given their age.

Again, only help if you feel you are in a position to do so. Even if you can share this post we would be forever greatful.

The wonderful team over at Irvine Community Events - North Ayrshire have organised a private room within the portal which will be held as a quiet space for those who may need a wee break away from the excitement of all the fun activities that are planned.

They are currently trying to aquire funding to source sensory toys for this room however due to the timescale they may miss the date.

If you are looking to give away sensory toys that your little or bog one no longer plays with then please email

They will arrange collection of any sensory toys that the community can donate 🩷
