A busy week for the BTT Comms team! 🔧

At one customer’s site, around a third of the access control units were older Paxton Net2 Classics that needed replacing. Our engineers upgraded the units and carried out the cabling work needed to connect them to the network, making the system easier to maintain and support remotely.

The job also involved installing new multicore cables for the card/fob readers and reconnecting the doors to the fire alarm relays, so they release when the fire alarm is triggered. Along the way, the team found some untidy work from a previous installation and put that right too. One example is in the attached photos, (we also added battery backup so that the system continues to function in the event of a power outage.)

Everything is back up and running, the customer is happy, and their access control system is now up to date. Great work by the team! 👏

🚨 CCTV, PHONE SYSTEMS, DATA CABLING… AND A CAR PARK BARRIER THAT PICKED A FIGHT WITH A LORRY! 🚛💥🚧

Yep, it’s been another “quiet” week at BTT Comms! 😂

Our engineers have been flat out across the area, and no two days have looked quite the same:

📞 Phone system upgrades
📹 CCTV installations
🔌 Data cabling at a hospital
💻 IT callouts
🔐 Surveys for CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms & access control

Then there was the car park barrier…

Apparently, it decided to take on a lorry.

Final score: Lorry 1 – Barrier 0. 😂
Thankfully, repairing things when they go wrong is all part of what we do!

We’ve also been helping a client with a persistent fly-tipping problem. We’re looking at CCTV, access control and automated gates to stop unwanted vehicles getting onto the site and treating their car park like their own personal tip.

😂 JUST ANOTHER QUIET, SERIOUS BUSINESS MEETING AT BNI PROSPERITY… 😂

Another cracking Thursday morning at BNI Prosperity Kettering — business, breakfast, referrals, education and the usual amount of abuse disguised as “networking”! 😂

🤝 Dave Harvey kicked off the education with a brilliant session on Know, Like & Trust and the importance of building proper relationships.

His challenge?

💻 Then it was Spencer Crocker’s turn for the big 10 minutes.

Spencer showed us how his software can make businesses run more efficiently — whether you’re managing facilities, buildings or aviation processes.

Basically, if you’re drowning in spreadsheets, paperwork and admin… SPEAK TO SPENCER BEFORE YOU THROW THE LAPTOP OUT OF THE WINDOW! 😂💻🪟

Then came the important stuff…

😂 And absolutely no shortage of banter!
