As someone who has lived since the age of 25 with two illnesses; one autoimmune disorder and the other a mitochondrial that both have no cure, I have used complementary therapies to help me deal with a lot of the symptoms so I did not have to rely on too much medication as I don't like taking too much. After being made redundant in 2019 I knew this was the career path I now wanted to pursue. I have a huge interest in Chinese and Mayan therapies and their histories. I love how old these therapies are for instance the Mayans were using hot/cold therapy on their warriors 5000 years ago. The fact since time began people have worn jewellery, not for beauty but for healing and protection from the properties found in the stones. So please join me on this road of discovery and wellbeing.

Well you have all probably had to listen to me going on for the last year of how Frankie my fur baby was over weight and struggling with the stairs . Turned out last year he had hurt his hip so after painkillers and lots of cuddles he is all better and guess what …he has lost weight too. Bad news he is now showing glaucoma in his left eye . But hey after having skin cancer four years ago he is doing great .

Hope everyone who has had a scalp massage during their visit this week has been enjoying the pumpkin seed oil I am using for Halloween . The smell is just gorgeous . But thought id just share the benefits of the oil too so you knew why i decided on it .

Another wee video from my visit to Byodo -in Temple .
Japanese Buddhist hold Koi Carp in high regard . The ponds had hundreds in them , so beautiful .
They are perceived as a representation of courage , perseverance and transformation.
Embodying the journey we all strive towards enlightenment and spiritual strength .

I have a wee fear of birds , as much as they are beautiful i dont like them flying towards me . One of the Monks put bird seed on my hands .i was terrified but they were fine really . Maybe Im cured now , dont think I will be testing it out .
