Ever see 3 rabbits pulled out of a hat? ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ

This takes a lot of explaining, but Ed from Streetwise Community Circus CIC was showing us a funny trick last week when he pretended to pull a rabbit from a hat, but there was no actual rabbit. So this week Mandy, Wilma & Tracey decided to surprise him and dress up as rabbits ๐Ÿคฃ It made for quite an entertaining morning.

Besides that we had a great morning hat juggling, ball snatching and scarf tossing as part of our circus skills programme. The guys will be taking next week off for Halloween, so will be back at 11am on Monday 9th November. So why not join us then under the big top ๐ŸŽช

I was recently asked by our great friends at North Down Community Network - NDCN to take part in their amazing Community Matters podcast, which features discussions on the important work going on in our local communities and the organsations that are carrying it out. ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

So if you are brave enough to listen to me talk for twenty minutes or so, grab yourself a cuppa and a biccie, and hopefully enjoy listening to what I have to say about the fabulous organisation I have the pleasure of working for and the work we carry out ๐Ÿซถ

What a pleasure it was to host a stand at the Positive Ageing Roadshow in collaboration with our great friends from Ards and North Down Borough Council this morning.

This was a fantastic event, showcasing all the great organisations in the area that provide services to help us as we age. Ciara, Carol and myself were able to promote all the fabulous activities and programmes that we at Peninsula Healthy Living had to offer. We also got to meet the mayor, he's a massive PHLP fan. ๐Ÿซถ

Who else, but our amazing Carol, was able to get everyone in the room moving along to her incredible Balance session, she truly is one of a kind.

Do you ever visit your local library? ๐Ÿ“–

They have so much more going on than you would think. Our great friends at Portaferry Library have the amazing local author Simon Maltman visiting them for a Q&A session on Saturday 24th October at 11:30am, this is a totally free event and open to everyone.

So why not pop along and listen to his stories and see what else this amazing library has to offer.

Can The Wee Group say a massive thank you to the amazing Gareth Klein from You've Still Got It, who joined us today for a drummercise session ๐Ÿฅ

I think it is safe to say that everyone had an absolute ball (excuse the pun) and came away from the session feeling rejuvenated and ready for more. I think this may have been our best session yet. ๐Ÿซถ

We can't thank Gareth enough for popping along and teaching us all some rhythm, whilst also having a lot of laughs. Absolute legend.

The Wee Group will be back in 2 weeks time and if you would like to join us please contact myself on 07519379428 or email [email protected].

Don't forget about our Community Larder ๐Ÿซถ

We are still very well stocked up on cupboard essentials like tinned goods, dried pastas, soups, coffee, tea bags, toilet rolls, cleaning products, jams and a whole lot more. We also have a freezer full of lots of yummy frozen meals from The Warehouse Newtownards.

These items are all completely free of charge and are there to help anyone in our community that needs a little boost in these extremely difficult financial times. So call in and see one of our friendly members of staff here at Kircubbin Community Centre and we can help out. ๐Ÿค

Bikes, Brilliant tunes & a Baby ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ

Can I say a huge well done and a huge thank you to the amazing All Blacks from Ferry Fit who joined me last night for their final spin blast before their last big weigh in today.

I pushed everyone a little bit harder last night as I knew they were all very capable and everyone did fantastically well. ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ’ช

Ferry Fit is a fantastic community fitness initiative and Peninsula Healthy Living were very happy to play a small part in it, hopefully some of you may come back and see us for a spin class when it's all over.

Good luck at the weigh in ๐Ÿ™โฒ๏ธ
