I wish someone had told me this sooner.
I never used to STOP. I just kept going. The to-do list was endless, and by 9pm I’d crash, asleep within minutes, only to wake repeatedly throughout the night.
By 5am I was WIDE AWAKE and off we’d go again. Exhausted by 10am, wondering how on earth I was going to make it through the day.
ON REPEAT.
I wish someone had told me sooner that what I thought was just my life was actually a seriously dysregulated nervous system.
My cortisol was running high, my body was constantly on guard, waiting for the next thing, and that chronic stress was a huge contributing factor to how unwell I became.
Had I known, I’d have taken a step back sooner.
Because honestly, I CRAVED space. Time for myself. Away from everything. No demands, nobody needing something, no endless to-do list. Just some bloody peace.
When I realised I needed to start supporting my nervous system, everything began to change.
And here’s what I wish I’d known.
It doesn’t have to be long, complicated or another thing to squeeze into an already overflowing day.
Comment ‘CHILL’ and I’ll share one simple practice you can do anywhere, anytime, in less than 90 seconds to help your nervous system shift out of that constant state of alert.
