A little more grateful for this view this year. ☀️

I spend much of my working life talking to patients about surgery and recovery. Those conversations are often about getting back to something that matters to them: family time, a favourite activity or a holiday they’ve been looking forward to.

This year, being here with my family means that little bit more.

What does a tummy tuck look like from the side?

Six weeks after a thigh lift, with healing still underway.

These photographs show this patient before surgery and six weeks afterwards, with a visible reduction in loose skin and a smoother inner thigh contour.

A thigh lift removes excess skin. It also leaves permanent scars, so understanding their position and extent is an essential part of the consultation.

This is an early result, with further healing and scar maturation ahead.

She was already fit and active. But exercise couldn’t address the loose skin and changes to her breasts after pregnancy.

This 38-year-old mum chose a lipoabdominoplasty, a tummy tuck combined with liposuction, alongside a breast uplift.

Her photographs show her results 9 months after surgery.

Pregnancy had left her with loose abdominal skin, stretch marks and separation of the abdominal muscles. Following breastfeeding, she had also noticed reduced breast fullness and a lower breast and ni**le position.

During surgery, Mr Will JM Holmes removed excess abdominal skin, refined her contour with liposuction and tightened the abdominal muscle separation with an internal repair called re**us plication.

The breast uplift reshaped and lifted her existing breast tissue and repositioned her ni**les.

At nine months, we can assess her abdominal contour, breast shape and how her scars are settling. Scars continue to mature over time, and their appearance varies between patients.

A before-and-after tells you something. Adding the stages in between tells you more.

These photographs show the same patient before breast augmentation, at four weeks and at three months after surgery, from both the front and the side.

Following the birth of her son, she noticed a loss of fullness in the upper part of her breasts and some mild asymmetry. After disappointing consultations elsewhere, she sought a specialist opinion with me.

She underwent subglandular breast augmentation using 455cc Mentor round, high-profile implants at Spire Methley Park.

Six weeks on — and this is still an early result. ✨

These photographs show our patient before and six weeks after a tummy tuck combined with a breast lift with implants, known as abdominoplasty and augmentation mastopexy.

The procedures address excess abdominal skin alongside breast position, shape and volume, with a plan tailored to the individual.

Healing is still underway at this stage, and the results will continue to settle over the coming months.

What does the weight of your breasts stop you doing comfortably?

For some women, it affects exercise, clothing choices and everyday comfort. Neck, back and shoulder pain, skin irritation and bra straps digging into the shoulders can all be reasons to seek advice.

Here, you can see one of my patients before breast reduction and three months after surgery.

The procedure reduces breast volume and weight while reshaping the remaining tissue and repositioning the ni**les.
