At Home Instead Leeds Central, training doesn’t stop once our Care Professionals have completed their initial qualifications.

We provide regular refresher training to keep their knowledge and practical skills up to date, including important areas such as medication administration.

It’s part of how we make sure our Care Professionals remain confident and competent in their roles, understand current policies and procedures, and continue to work in line with CQC requirements and best practice.

Because providing high-quality care means continuing to learn, refresh and improve.

When you hear the word “dementia”, do you immediately think of Alzheimer’s?

You’re not alone — but dementia is much broader than Alzheimer’s.
Dementia is an umbrella term for a range of symptoms that can affect memory, thinking, communication and everyday life. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia, but it is not the only one.
Our New Ageing Index found that 43% of people believe dementia is a greater threat than cancer, highlighting the growing concern around the condition.
Understanding dementia can help families recognise changes, ask the right questions and feel more prepared to find the right support.

At Home Instead Central Leeds, our trained Care Professionals provide personalised care for people living with dementia, supporting their independence and helping them continue to live well at home.
If you’re looking for guidance or support with dementia care, our friendly team is here to talk through your options.

You don’t have to do it all on your own.

For many families, caring for an ageing parent or relative is an important part of life. But when care needs grow, balancing this with work, family and everyday responsibilities can become increasingly difficult.
Our New Ageing Index found that 77% of family carers now say they need more support to care for ageing parents or relatives — up from 68%.
That’s where the right support can make a real difference.

At Home Instead Central Leeds, we’re here to support you and your loved one. Our team can offer guidance on your care options, while our trained Care Professionals provide personalised care tailored to your loved one’s individual needs.
Because having support in place isn’t just about caring for your loved one — it’s about making life more manageable for the whole family.

This World Alzheimer’s Day, let’s talk about why an early diagnosis matters.

Changes in memory, thinking or everyday behaviour can sometimes be difficult to understand — and it’s not always easy to know when it’s time to seek advice.

An early diagnosis can help people and their families better understand what is happening, explore the support available and make informed decisions about the future.
Whether you’re concerned about yourself or someone you love, you don’t have to navigate those questions alone.

At Home Instead Central Leeds, our trained Care Professionals provide personalised care and support tailored to individual needs.

If you have questions about care or support at home, please get in touch.
