Testosterone is back in the conversation. But the bigger story isn’t testosterone.
It’s how we think.
This week, the FDA held a dedicated public workshop examining testosterone use in menopausal women — including questions around sexual function, cognition, mood and musculoskeletal health, while highlighting important gaps in measurement, interpretation and long-term safety evidence.
At the same time, clinicians and researchers are continuing to challenge what we know.
Dr Louise Newson is one of the leading voices pushing that conversation forward. Newson Research has now written up 19 studies on testosterone. In its recently published study of 279 women already taking transdermal estradiol, adding transdermal testosterone was associated with significant improvement in 15 of 24 symptoms assessed after three months.
That doesn’t mean testosterone is the answer to every symptom.
It means the questions are getting bigger.
And this is exactly what we want TBN practitioners to stay connected to.
Across every TBN pathway, our Academy will bring together current research, leading voices in health and practical clinical education — translating what is changing into what practitioners need to understand in practice.
Because when someone walks into your clinic saying:
“I’m exhausted.”
“I have brain fog.”
“My libido has disappeared.”
“I’ve read about testosterone. Should I test mine?”
The skill isn’t simply running a testosterone test.
It’s knowing why you are testing, what else could be contributing, what the result can and cannot tell you, what to investigate next, when to retest and when to escalate.
The machine gives you a result.
Your education gives it context.
That’s the difference we want to build through TBN Academy.
A collective of practitioners and doctors passionate about prevention, longevity and root-cause science.
