Things I use as a spiritual girly with PMDD 🩸
aka my luteal (hell) phase survival kit 👹🫠
Some days I’m in my divine feminine, connected-to-the-universe, everything-is-magic era… other days I’m just trying to get through the day without feeling overwhelmed by my own body. 😂
Here are a few things that help me feel more supported, grounded & connected to myself during my luteal phase 🩷
☀️ SAD lamp
Or “moth time”, as my partner calls it 😂 A non-negotiable when my mood & energy nosedive, especially during darker autumn & winter months.
💎 Crystals
Rose quartz for self-love, amethyst for calm, moonstone for divine feminine connection & black kyanite for energetic protection. My little allies when the luteal chaos hits. 🔮
❤️🔥 Womb-focused healing
When my body & mind feel like they’re screaming, I slow down & reconnect with my womb space through sacral chakra-focused Angelic healing, divine feminine connection & space to soften, release & reconnect with myself.
💊 Vitamins & supplements
It’s been LOTS of trial & error! My current lineup includes saffron, magnesium, B12, vitamin D, iron, chasteberry (agnus castus) & Brainzyme Focus. Always check with your GP or pharmacist before starting supplements, as what works for me won’t necessarily work for you.
☕ Cacao
A warm cacao is one of my favourite luteal rituals. It contains magnesium, which supports normal nervous system function & helps reduce tiredness and fatigue when intake is adequate. A little moment to slow down & soothe myself on emotionally intense days.
📅 Tracking my cycle
Knowing where I am in my cycle helps me prepare, recognise my patterns & give myself more rest, gentleness & grace when I need it.
I’m a healer, a spiritual girly & a massive believer in the magic of the universe… AND I’m still human, navigating my own stuff
PMDD doesn’t mean I’m too emotional, dramatic or bad at coping. Spirituality isn’t about bypassing difficult feelings or manifesting them away
It’s about giving myself more tools, more compassion & more ways to support myself through it 🩷
Fellow PMDD girlies, what gets you through your luteal phase? 🫶🏻
