🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month – October 2026 🎀
At Mountbatton Care, we're supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by encouraging everyone to get to know their bodies, recognise the signs and symptoms, and understand when to seek advice.
Breast cancer can affect anyone, regardless of gender, and early detection can make a real difference.
🔎 Know the signs and symptoms:
💕 A new lump or swelling in the breast, chest or armpit.
💕 Changes in the size or shape of your breast.
💕 Skin changes, including dimpling, puckering, redness or a rash.
💕 Changes to the ni**le, including turning inwards, a rash or unusual discharge (particularly if bloody).
💕 Persistent pain in the breast or armpit.
💕 Any other change that is unusual for you.
Remember TLC – Touch, Look, Check!
Get into the habit of checking your breasts, chest and armpits regularly. You don't need a special technique; the important thing is knowing what's normal for you.
Most breast changes are not cancer, but if you notice anything new or unusual, contact your GP rather than waiting for your next screening appointment.
💗 Throughout October, we're also recognising the incredible charities and support organisations helping people affected by breast cancer across the North West.
Whether you're living with a diagnosis, supporting a loved one or simply looking for advice, you are not alone.
Awareness starts with a conversation. Share this post, remind someone you love to check, and help us spread the message.
