October marks the beginning of the final quarter of the year, offering a natural opportunity to pause, reflect and reset.

The first nine months may have brought progress, unexpected changes, unfinished plans or priorities that no longer feel as important as they once did.

A reset allows you to acknowledge what has happened without judging yourself for what remains incomplete.

What are you proud of from the year so far? What has taken more energy than expected? Which goals still feel meaningful, and which ones are you ready to release?

Rather than trying to fit an entire year’s worth of progress into three months, consider choosing a few clear intentions for October, November and December.

You could set one intention for your wellbeing, one for your relationships and one for an area of work or personal growth.

Keep them realistic enough to support steady progress and flexible enough to respond to changing circumstances, for example through daily micro-intentions.

An October reset is not about starting again from the beginning.

It is an invitation to move forward with greater awareness, using what the year has already taught you.

What would help you finish this year feeling more aligned, fulfilled and present?

Venus retrograde begins on 3 October and continues until 14 November 2026 when she is reborn as the morning star.

A retrograde occurs when a planet appears to move backwards from our perspective on Earth.

In astrology, this period is associated with slowing down, reviewing and reconsidering the themes connected with that planet.

Venus relates to love, relationships, pleasure, beauty, personal values, finances and self-worth.

During this retrograde, these areas may require more attention and honest reflection.

Past relationship patterns may become easier to recognise. Questions around boundaries, balance, spending, self-respect or fulfilment may also come into focus.

What do you genuinely value? Are your relationships supportive and reciprocal? Do your choices reflect what matters to you now, or what once felt important?

You could work with this period by allowing more time before making significant relationship or financial decisions, reviewing recurring patterns, and noticing where your needs or values may have changed.

Venus retrograde is not something to fear. It can offer an opportunity to reflect, reassess and become clearer about what feels meaningful, balanced and fulfilling.

In astrology, Venus represents love, relationships, beauty, pleasure, creativity, personal values, finances and self-worth.

Its influence shows what we are naturally drawn to, how we express affection, what helps us feel connected, and the qualities we appreciate in others.

Venus can also offer insight into our relationship with comfort, enjoyment and receiving.

Venus is not only about romantic love. It can reflect friendships, creative expression, personal style, money choices and the way we recognise our own value.

When Venus feels balanced, we may find it easier to enjoy what we have, communicate appreciation and make choices that reflect what genuinely matters to us.

When its themes feel challenged, questions may arise around overgiving, people-pleasing, comparison, spending or seeking validation from others.

What brings you genuine pleasure? Where do you feel valued and respected? Do your relationships and financial choices reflect your priorities?

You could explore Venus by noticing what you are drawn to, reviewing how you give and receive care, or reflecting on whether your choices support your self-worth.

Venus invites us to build a more conscious relationship with love, pleasure, money and the values that guide our lives.

The Venus cycle describes the repeating journey Venus makes as it shifts between being visible after sunset as the Evening Star and before sunrise as the Morning Star.

During the Evening Star phase, Venus can draw attention to how we experience relationships, beauty, pleasure, connection and the things we value in the world around us.

As Venus moves closer to the Sun, it gradually disappears from the evening sky. After a period of invisibility, it returns as the Morning Star.

This part of the cycle can encourage a more inward exploration of personal values, desires and self-worth.

On 1 October, Venus is in Scorpio and nearing the end of its current Evening Star phase.

It is preparing to begin its retrograde journey on 3 October, which will eventually lead towards its transition into the Morning Star phase.

This point in the cycle can invite us to pause and notice what may be changing beneath the surface.

What feels meaningful to you now? Which relationships and choices still feel aligned? Where might your values or desires be asking for greater honesty?

You could work with this phase by reflecting on recurring patterns, reviewing where your energy is going, or noticing what genuinely brings meaning and fulfilment.

The Venus cycle reminds us that our values and desires can evolve as we do.

The Full Moon of 26 September is known as the Harvest Moon because it is the Full Moon closest to the Autumn Equinox.

It is also traditionally known as the Corn Moon, a seasonal name connected with the gathering of crops at this time of year.

These names are closely associated with harvest, abundance, culmination and gratitude.

Symbolically, the Harvest Moon can offer a moment to notice what has reached its own point of fruition.

What have you nurtured that is now beginning to bear fruit? What progress deserves to be recognised? Where might gratitude be more appropriate than immediately moving on to the next goal?

A harvest is both a culmination and a reminder to receive what has grown.

This Full Moon invites us to pause, acknowledge what has been created, and appreciate the effort, patience and care that brought us here.

The Full Moon in Aries arrives on 26 September, bringing attention to courage, individuality, instinct and action. In astrology, Aries is associated with independence, assertiveness and moving towards what feels true.

This Full Moon may illuminate where we have been holding back, staying quiet, or waiting for permission to express what we really want or need.

Where could you be clearer? Is there a boundary or truth that needs a more courageous voice?

Aries energy reminds us that self-expression does not have to mean conflict.

It can look like trusting your instincts, taking initiative, saying what you mean, or choosing yourself where you have over-accommodated others.

Use this Full Moon to notice where greater honesty or decisive action may be needed.

Sometimes courage begins with one clear choice: to speak, act, or stand more firmly in who you are.

26/09/2026

The Full Moon is often seen as a point of culmination, a moment when something that has been building begins to come into clearer focus.

This can be emotional, practical, or simply a growing awareness that something needs your attention.

You may notice a pattern you can no longer ignore, a feeling that has become stronger, or a situation that has reached a natural turning point.

Rather than reacting immediately, the Full Moon can offer a useful moment to pause and reflect.

What feels complete? What has become clearer? What are you ready to release, change, or approach differently?

Sometimes clarity does not arrive as a dramatic realisation. It can come through simply acknowledging what you already know but have not yet acted on.

The Full Moon can remind us to pay attention to what has reached the surface and to respond with greater awareness.

Reflection can help us recognise what still needs care, what has run its course, and what we are ready to carry forward with more intention.

Around 25 September, Neptune is at one of its closest points to Earth for the year, reaching opposition on 26 September when Earth passes between Neptune and the Sun.

Astronomically, this makes Neptune particularly well positioned for observation. Astrologically, Neptune carries a very different kind of significance.

Neptune is an outer, slow-moving planet associated with dreams, intuition, imagination, spirituality, compassion, creativity and the subconscious.

As the modern ruler of Pisces, its symbolism often relates to what exists beyond the rational or immediately visible.

But Neptune also has a more challenging side.

It can represent illusion, idealisation, escapism, confusion and blurred boundaries, asking us to notice where intuition ends and wishful thinking begins.

In September 2026, Neptune is retrograde in Aries. This combines Neptune’s dreamy, reflective nature with Aries themes of identity, courage, independence and action.

It can invite questions such as:

What vision am I trying to bring into reality?
Where might I be idealising rather than seeing clearly?
What does my intuition know that I have been reluctant to act upon?

Neptune reminds us to dream, imagine and remain open to mystery, while staying grounded enough to recognise what is real.

24/09/2026

As spring begins in the Southern Hemisphere, the return of longer days and increasing light can bring a natural sense of renewed energy, movement, and possibility.

Spring self-care can be about gently reconnecting with that outward-moving energy rather than rushing to fill every available space.

You might spend more time outside, welcome morning light into your routine, return to movement that feels energising, or refresh a physical space that has felt stagnant through winter.

This can also be a good time to explore new ideas and notice what is beginning to feel exciting again.

What are you curious about? Where do you feel ready for more movement or connection? Is there something you have been quietly thinking about that now feels ready to grow?

Spring can also invite us to notice which ideas, relationships, or intentions we feel ready to give more attention to.

Spring reminds us that growth does not have to happen all at once. Self-care can simply mean creating the right conditions for new energy to emerge.

Notice what feels ready to come alive, and give it the light, space, and attention it needs.
