It's not too late to take part in a Cerebral Palsy research study.

Haringey residents aged 40 or older and living with cerebral palsy (CP) are invited to take part in a study to help researchers understand whether access to a link worker with specific training and knowledge in CP is a feasible and effective way to support adults with CP.

This will help identify the kind of community support you value and feel you need in Haringey.

Recruitment for this research study will close in November 2026.
If you would like to take part or know more about the project email Dr Erica Ranzato at [email protected].

Carers' voices are changing dementia services in Haringey. Over the past year, the Dementia Reference Group has turned personal experiences into practical improvements, including carers' coffee mornings, better information after diagnosis, and a new safeguarding leaflet for carers of people living with dementia.

The leaflet was created after a carer bravely shared her experience of domestic violence linked to her partner's dementia.

Sarah Vallelly also documented her husband Steve's difficult journey through A&E and hospital care. Her recommendations are now informing discussions with the Dementia Lead Nurses at North Middlesex and Whittington Hospitals. They include alternatives to long A&E stays, dementia awareness training for all hospital staff, and named contacts for carers.

When residents speak up and professionals listen, services change. Read more: https://tinyurl.com/mryy9hw5
