💚World Mental Health Day 10th October 2026

Real voices. Real change. The power of being heard.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is simply listen. At Visiting Angels North Surrey, care is about more than practical support. It’s about taking time to listen, sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, offering reassurance on a difficult day and helping people feel connected, valued and understood in the comfort of their own homes.

We also recognise that our caregivers’ mental health matters, too. Everyone deserves to feel heard, supported and appreciated. ❤️

This World Mental Health Day, check in on someone. A simple “How are you really feeling?” can make all the difference.

Looking for compassionate, personalised home care? Get in touch with Visiting Angels North Surrey to find out how we can help.

It was another busy day of recruitment yesterday, starting at the Leatherhead Job Centre and finishing with a fantastic Careers Event at The Hollyfield School

Well done to Ian Poole for organising such a busy evening in Surbiton, and it was also great to see Ash and Michelle in the Mole Valley!

Tooba attended the Decarbonising Business Operations & Kingston Green Business Challenge Celebration today at The Cheeky Pea, celebrating businesses that have taken steps towards becoming more environmentally sustainable and achieving their Green Mark accreditation.

A big thank you to everyone involved for a great event! 🌱

Every day is different when you own your own care company! 💕

I really enjoyed preparing 250 table gifts in readiness for Rose’s Gift Ball including 25 hidden lottery tickets.

I even enjoyed the trip to Portsmouth for pink Lindor 👍💕

‘Baby Rose’ is now 20 years old and we are proud to be a very small part of this community who have fundraised for the last 20 years to help other children and families going through childhood cancer.

Go Rose 💕💕💕💕

More great news... Visiting Angels UK has officially been named as one of the 2026 Global Top 100 Inspiring Places to Work!

What an incredible achievement this is, placing Visiting Angels UK on a global list alongside internationally recognised organisations.

More importantly, it’s a reflection of the culture we have built, the people involved and the shared values that run throughout our network.

Every person across Visiting Angels plays a part in making our organisation what it is, so this is an achievement we can all be incredibly proud of.

Top 100...In the world!

Another fantastic Staff Meeting in the book ✅

As ever it featured all of the usual awards (500, 1000, 1500, and even 5000 hours worked) and recognition (Caregiver of the month, and Summer Saviours), lots of chat, plus much food and drink (all free!), but we always admire the people who make that little extra effort to attend, even if they don't know anyone.

The benefit of meeting up with your colleagues, old and new, is unmeasurable, but it is always positive and everyone leaves with a smile on their face 😄 having met some new friends.

Thanks 63 Highstreet

It was an informative, educational and dare I say...'fun' day at the Visiting Angels UK Regional Conference for The South yesterday.

Talks from Birdie and Pairly were followed by a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' scorecard session, which as you can see, we won!

Dan Archer also spoke about a mantra Chris and Lynn often repeat...'What got you here, wont get you there!'

Well done and thanks to All, with a massive hats off to Bella and the Head Office team for embracing the Pirate theme!

It's Professional Care Workers week!

PCWW is a week long celebration dedicated to care workers and the essential services provided.

The term “Professional” is central to PCWW, as it highlights the skilled and essential nature of care work....It’s time to change the narrative around care workers.

We held a Fundraiser last month for the Care Workers’ Charity, and were delighted to raise and donate £700 to such a great cause.

So, it was The Times and The Sunday Times online yesterday, and today we have made the paper version!

What a great few days for our recruitment team as our specialist work with the Over 50s has now received National, as well as Local recognition.
