The first time we’ve ever published and presented our incident data to a clinical audience.

There have been more than 55 life-threatening allergic reactions treated using our Anaphylaxis Kitts across the country.

Every single scenario teaches us something new, spanning:

- Ages of 6-month-olds to 63-year-olds
- Triggers including everything from bee stings to aerosols, and cocktails to medications!
- Single to multiple adrenaline pen usage

But, the most vital thing we’ve learnt is that beyond children (the standard narrative), we’re seeing many cases of anaphylaxis occurring in adults across both schools and workplaces.

It was incredibly rewarding for both Zak and Simon to be presenting these findings at the BSACI annual conference in Wales this past weekend.

We worked closely together on the creation of our new online Anaphylaxis Kitt training course for schools & businesses, with Allergy UK’s clinical team reviewing and confirmed accuracy of the content, and CEO Simone Miles appearing Zak in one of the many educational videos.

And, well be pointing every Kitt customer towards the charity’s brilliant further resources, including AllergyWise® training, as well as resources, factsheets, and their trusted helpline.

For decades, Allergy UK and Anaphylaxis UK have led the way on allergy safety. Alongside others in the National Allergy Strategy Group, they’ve campaigned for spare auto-injectors in schools, helped bring in mandatory food labelling policy with Natasha’s Law and most recently were advocating for Benedict’s Law.

So, what’s actually included in our Anaphylaxis Kitt Online training course?

Well, we managed to pack a lot into just half an hour of videos and multiple-choice questions!

Created in partnership with Allergy UK, Anaphylaxis UK & St John Ambulance, our CPD-accredited Anaphylaxis Kitt training course is included with every Kitt subscription, perfect both for schools to comply with Benedict’s Law, and for businesses looking to bolster their workplace health & safety.

We cover a wide range of topics, all of which are listed in the Benedict’s Law’s guidance documentation - from food and environmental allergies to intolerance, asthma, anaphylaxis symptoms and treatment, to the latest in emergency adrenaline medication devices.

We even delve into case study videos of allergy safety in schools and businesses from headteachers, occupational health practitioners, students and office workers living with allergies - as well as showing a video of actors portraying how varied and extreme life-threatening allergic reactions can be, and how life-saving intervention with adrenaline is

Within just 48 hours, our brand NEW training course has been completed by over 50,000 people!! 🫨

In our company’s total history, our previous training course that comes with every Anaphylaxis Kitt had been completed by a total of 65,000 people - so to nearly match that in two days is genuinely insane!

With the newly published Benedict’s Law statutory guidance for schools across England, as well as developments in adrenaline devices - and progress made in our own service for schools and businesses - it was time to film some updated content.

Honestly it was such a mad scramble to get everything scripted, filmed, edited, online and CPD accredited in just 3 weeks to ensure it was all live for the new school term - but I’m so glad we got it done (a huge credit to John Mouratis and his amazing team!)

We’re so proud to have built this course featuring the leading allergy healthcare professionals Professor Adam Fox OBE and Dr Helen Evans-Howells, as well as our partners Dr Lynn Thomas, Medical Director of St John Ambulance and Simone Miles, CEO of Allergy UK.

We cover a wide range of topics - from food and environmental allergies to intolerance, asthma, anaphylaxis symptoms and treatment to the latest in emergency adrenaline medication devices.

We even included case study videos of both ‘Allergy Safety in Schools’, with Headteacher Natalie Denchfield and an allergy mum + student, as well as an ‘Allergy Safety in Businesses’ video with Anna Winton, an Occupational Health manager at Center Parcs UK & Ireland, and Philip Knight a lawyer with allergies at Dentons.

All that in just seven succinct videos, followed by multiple-choice questions, taking a max of 30 minutes!

We can’t wait to see the impact this will have on people living with allergies across the country.

London Luton Airport (LLA) has become the first airport in the UK to officially install Anaphylaxis Kitts!

This is, without a doubt, one of the biggest moments of our Kitt Medical journey so far.

For people with severe allergies, passing through an airport and flying can be an anxiety-inducing experience.

This rollout of 10+ Kitts with adrenaline pens across the terminal provides staff with the confidence and ability to treat emergency severe allergic reactions, should they occur.

They’ve done this as a qualifying business with occupational health, as all airport staff will receive mandatory allergy training alongside the roll-out, with over 400 trained in the first few days alone.

A huge thank you to one of the airport’s medical leads, David Gardner, who championed this initiative and worked with me for over two years to get our Kitts in place - we’re finally there!

We’ve already received so many photos from friends and family as they pass through the airport and see the Kitts in the wild, and we can’t wait to receive many, many more

Benedict’s law is now law.

But, tragically, a child had to die for this to happen.

The tireless work that’s been completed in the background by The National Allergy Strategy Group, and especially of course, by Helen Blythe, has been inspiring to witness.

We’re so proud to be part of the solution, helping UK schools get compliant with the new statutory guidance in the simplest way possible.

Our team at Kitt Medical ****is working harder than ever before - We delivered over 650 Kitts in June alone, more than quadruple our average.

A huge thank you to Netherthorpe School and the Minerva Learning Trust for filming with ITV last night to showcase your proactive whole-school allergy procedures and Anaphylaxis Kitt.

This is a perfect example of a forward-thinking approach to allergy care.

In November 2024, Commercial Director Rijk searched on Google for something that would enable his 30-school multi-academy trust to become more proactive.

After a call with Olivia from our team, Rijk was eager to roll out our Anaphylaxis Kitts and online training across The White Horse Federation.

Fast forward a year and a half, and Benedict’s Law passes - meaning all schools in England must have adrenaline pens, training, and allergy policies in place by September 2026.

But it’s safe to say that thanks to Rijk and our work at Kitt Medical, this trust was well and truly ahead of the curve.

The UK’s biggest holiday park operator has just put Anaphylaxis Kitts in every single one of its 39 parks!

Haven already runs an extensive allergen management programme, but management isn’t the same as preparedness.

Kitts have been installed in visible, accessible locations across their entire UK footprint, with in-date adrenaline and over 800+ staff trained to use them for the reaction nobody sees coming.

And - Would you believe they’ve already been needed!

At Craig Tara, a security team member’s anaphylactic reaction was treated by a Kitt after eating food that contained almonds.

And at Presthaven, a 7-month-old reacted severely while trying solid foods for the first time. The mother told us the quick administration of the device really helped - she didn’t want to think about the alternative.

These two incidents could have gone very differently had there not been Kitts available.

We were so excited to visit Haven Burnham-on-Sea with our investor Deborah Meaden to mark the milestone launch, alongside Natasha’s Foundation, who’ll be raising allergy awareness across Haven’s 14,000-strong team.

We were surprised to find out that his son had allergies, and chatted about how important it is to keep students’ health, safety and wellbeing front of mind.

With new statuatory guidance (Benedict’s Law) launching in September, proactive organisations like The White Horse Federation are leading the way.

The entire multi-academy trust installed Kitts in all 30 schools back in 2024, staying well ahead of the curve.

Deb Anderson, an Associate Director, first came across Kitt Medical on Dragon’s Den last year.
