Do you currently hold a licence to practise medicine — anywhere in the world? Not soon. Today.
Yes → Clinical Attachment. Patient contact, including supervised hands-on opportunities such as phlebotomy.
Not yet → Observership. For medical students, and for doctors without a current licence anywhere. Strictly observational, no patient contact at any point.
They aren’t two tiers of one product. The line is regulatory — who is allowed patient contact in an NHS hospital. If the observership is your route today, it’s a good place to start, and you’re very welcome back for an attachment once you’re licensed.
