I've been thinking a lot about filling up our cups lately, especially after writing my latest newsletter.

So I thought I'd share a few of the little things that help me fill mine up.

A proper cuppa (preferably while it's still hot 😂), getting outside for some fresh air, having a good laugh, a little quiet time and making space for the things I enjoy.

But there's one thing I always come back to when I really need to refill my cup… self-healing. It probably won't surprise you that this is my absolute go-to. One of the reasons I began my Reiki journey was to be able to heal myself.

Sometimes I need to stop, take a breath, bring my attention back to myself and give myself the same care and energy that I so often give to everyone else. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Self-healing is my reminder to pause, reconnect and check in with what I need. Not what everyone else needs from me, or what still needs ticking off my to-do list. Just me. And no, I don't always get it right. I'm human too! 😂

But I've learnt that filling up my cup doesn't have to mean booking a day off, escaping for a weekend or doing something extravagant. Sometimes it's about the little things, and sometimes it's about making that intentional time to care for myself.

Because we can't pour from an empty cup forever, can we?

So, I'd love to know…

What helps you fill up your cup? And do you have something you always come back to when you need a little reset?

Tell me in the comments below.

What if looking after yourself didn't mean having to go anywhere?

Work full time? Always running around after everyone else? By the time you finally sit down in the evening do you have any energy left?

Believe me, I get it. Sometimes even making time for yourself can feel like another thing on the to-do list. This is one of the things I love about distance Reiki.

You can settle on your sofa or get cosy in bed, at home, without having to travel anywhere or fit another journey into your day.

You don't need to do anything special during your session, and if you drift off to sleep, that's absolutely fine - it won't stop the Reiki working.

I'm opening up distance Reiki appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, start times available between 7 pm and 9pm. £50 per session. They're not available to book through my online system, so you'll need to contact me directly.

💌 Have questions, or would like to book? Send me a DM or WhatsApp me on 07841 047 579.

Happy Mindful Monday

Following on from my newsletter yesterday about filling up your cup, I wanted to leave you with a little reminder today - you don't have to completely change your life to start looking after yourself a little better.

Sometimes it's a quiet cuppa.
Sometimes it's asking for help.
Sometimes it's doing something you love, simply because you love it.
And sometimes it's recognising that you're running on empty and giving yourself permission to stop for a moment.

You don't have to do it all, or have it all figured out. You just need start with one little thing that makes you feel good.

What might that be today? Feeling brave? Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Soul Full Sunday, beautiful people.

It's the first Sunday of October, and rather than asking ourselves what we need to achieve this month, perhaps we should ask a slightly different question…

What are you going to make room for this month?

More laughter?
More time outside?
More creativity?
More adventures?
More time with the people you love?
More quiet evenings?
More things that make you feel excited?
More things that make you feel like you?

Because sometimes it's not about adding another thing to the list. Sometimes it's about looking at what's already taking up space, and deciding whether you actually want it there.

October doesn't have to be a month where you suddenly become more productive, more organised, more motivated or somehow magically have your whole life together. It can just be a month where you notice what makes you feel good, and make a little more room for it.

So your little Soul Full Sunday question...

What are you going to make room for this month?

I'd love to know, so let me know in the comments below.

I think confidence in children (and adults) is sometimes misunderstood. We often imagine a confident child as the one who puts their hand up first, talks to everyone and happily jumps into every new situation. But confidence can look very different.

Sometimes it's having a go at something new.
Sometimes it's sharing an idea.
Sometimes it's making a mistake and trying again.
Sometimes it's simply feeling comfortable enough to be yourself.
And sometimes… it's just walking into a room and knowing you belong there.

A parent recently told me:

“We've noticed a difference in her confidence, which is lovely to see. She always looks forward to your sessions.”

These comments always mean so much to me because Mindful Kids isn't about turning children into the loudest or most confident person in the room. It's about giving them opportunities to explore, create, try things, express themselves and discover what they're capable of - in an environment where they feel safe and accepted.

And sometimes the changes happen more quietly and subtly than we realise. Until one day you notice…

Oh wow. Look how much they've grown.

My Saturday Mindful Kids sessions are designed to bring together creativity, mindfulness, emotional well-being and confidence-building in a way that feels fun rather than like another lesson.

If you'd like to know more about the Saturday sessions, just send me a message.

Hello October! 🍂 And hello to my birthday month! 🎂

I don't know about you, but I always feel like October has a bit of a different energy.
The evenings get darker. The jumpers come out. The candles get lit. Everything feels a little cosier. And… I get another year older. 😂

I've never been someone who needs a huge fuss for my birthday, but I do think birthdays are a lovely little reminder to stop and appreciate where you are. Another year of life. Another year of learning. Another year of changing. Another year of figuring things out as I go. 😂 And this year, rather than thinking about all the things I should be doing, I'm trying to think about the things I actually want to enjoy.

The people I love.
The little moments.
The things that make me laugh.
The things that make me feel like me.

Because I think it's very easy to spend so much time getting through life that we forget to actually enjoy it.

So October… I'm ready for you. 🍂 Bring on the cosy evenings, autumn walks, birthday cake and hopefully a few lovely little moments along the way.

And if October is your birthday month too…Happy birthday month! 🥳

And just like that… September is nearly done. 🍂 I always think this time of year feels a little bit like a natural reset. But not a “new month, new me!” kind of reset. 😂 Just a chance to pause for a minute and think about where you've been.

What made you smile?
What challenged you?
What are you proud of?
What did you learn?
And what are you ready to leave behind?

I also think it's worth asking ourselves what we actually want more of. Not necessarily what we should be doing.

What would genuinely make October feel good?
More time outside?
More laughter?
More creativity?
More connection?
More cosy evenings?
More adventures?
More time doing things that make your soul happy?

You don't need to completely reinvent yourself because the calendar has changed. Take what you've learned from September. Keep what feels good. Let go of what doesn't. And step into October exactly as you are.

What are you hoping October brings you? Let me know in the comments below.

Mindful Monday

Just a little reminder as we head into another week…

You don't have to wake up on Monday morning feeling motivated, organised, energised and ready to smash the week.

Sometimes you're tired. Sometimes you've had a rubbish weekend. Sometimes your brain is already thinking about everything that needs doing. And sometimes you just need a slower start.

That's okay.

You don't have to give 100% to everything, every day. Some days 80% is enough. Some days 60% is enough. And some days, getting through the day is enough.

Mindfulness isn't about being calm and positive all the time. Sometimes it's simply noticing where you're at without giving yourself a hard time for it.

So if Monday feels a little heavy today…

Take it gently. One thing at a time. You don't have to have the whole week figured out by lunchtime.
