With nearly two decades in the beauty industry, Emma has built her career around education, client experience and a belief that exceptional waxing goes far beyond simply removing hair.
For Emma, understanding the skin, refining technique and choosing professional products with purpose are fundamental but it’s the human side of our industry that has shaped the therapist and educator she is today.
“Nearly two decades in the industry has taught me that treatments are a skill technique can be learnt, practised and even mimicked. But technical excellence is only one part of being an exceptional therapist. The real skill is in what can’t be taught from a manual restoring someone’s confidence, holding space through difficult seasons of their life, knowing when to offer advice and when simply to listen.
That is quiet luxury to me: trust, discretion and an unspoken understanding that, for the time they’re with you, they can completely let their guard down. As waxers, we work with vulnerability. Our job is to make the people in front of us clients and fellow techs alike feel safe, confident and secure.”
