We're at ! 🙌
The Accelerate team is out in force at the British Lymphology Society Conference in Chester this week – and we're thrilled to have three clinical posters accepted for presentation.
The work explores everything from lipoedema during pregnancy, to virtual multidisciplinary working in complex lymphoedema and wound care, and a whole-person approach to lymphoedema alongside complex diabetic foot disease.
We're looking forward to three days of learning, conversations and catching up with friends and colleagues from across the lymphoedema community. 💙

We're launching Venous Voices, a new initiative from Legs Matter in partnership with the University of Huddersfield and Medtronic, to better understand people's experiences of living with venous disease and accessing care.

We're still looking for an experienced podiatrist to join the Accelerate team – and we've extended the application deadline to 18 October.

This is an opportunity to do something a little different.

You'll bring your MSK and biomechanics expertise into our specialist lymphatic and venous service, working with complex foot and ankle conditions, gait and mobility issues, orthotic management and wider lower-limb rehabilitation.

And you'll have the opportunity to help shape a new model of MSK lower-limb care.

“Lipoedema doesn’t automatically write your life story for you.” 🩷

In our latest living with lipoedema story, Emily Smith shares her experience of discovering lipoedema and the role exercise has played in her life.

After years of wondering why her legs didn’t change despite significant weight loss, she finally discovered that lipoedema gave her an explanation.

Emily now focuses on strength, fitness and feeling capable, and shares why her experience is simply one version of what living with lipoedema can look like.
