Without roots penetrating into sustaining soil, the plant cannot draw nourishment or withstand stress. Similarly, faith that lacks depth in God’s truth cannot survive when external pressure arrives. Rootedness determines resilience that withstands the heat of opposition and the drought of difficulty.

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers.
Psalm 1:1

Not everyone coming to shake your hand is coming to shake your hand in friendship.
There are some people who want what you have. Want to sit where you sit.
Stand where u stand.
They want the mantle God put on you.
They want your life. They are not looking at you with respect, but disdain, and they think in their mind they are called to call out your flaws.
In 2 Samuel 20:1-2 there is a name for such people; “worthless and wicked”
