Recipe: Vegan Sweet Potato Stew with Ginger and Coconut Milk

I love this recipe because it is very warming and versatile. Today, I served it with chickpeas and millet, and it was absolutely fantastic. I had to stop at the second serving. It was that delicious.

Recipe: Beef Tongue Stew With Green Olives and Wholegrain Mustard

There is a noticeable shift in the air now. The evenings are cooler, the light is changing, and many of us are beginning to reach for warmer, filling meals again.
This is often the time of year when digestion also calls for a little more attention. Summer routines can feel lighter, longer and less predictable; September tends to bring structure back, along with fuller calendars, work, school and a familiar pressure to get everything organised. If bloating, discomfort or unpredictable digestion has been affecting your confidence, energy or enjoyment of food, this is a good moment to pause and understand what your body may be asking for.

If a kid reacts like this the first time he eats pizza, then imagine what he does to your brain, with excess sugar, salt and a multitude of chemicals designed exactly to get this reaction… and addiction .

Octopus and Potato Salad with Aïoli

This is one of those dishes that arrives at the table looking calm and simple. Tender octopus, delicious potatoes, good olive oil and a sharp, garlicky aïoli come together in a way that feels both Mediterranean and deeply comforting — bright, salty, creamy, and impossible to rush.

It is also a very special dish for me, because it is one my mum and dad love too. That makes it feel less like a recipe and more like a memory on a plate: the kind of food that tastes of sunshine, long lunches and family tables that keep people lingering a little longer than planned.

If you are not usually drawn to seafood, think of this as a dish built on texture and balance as much as flavour: soft potato, silky olive oil, lemon, garlic and herbs doing exactly what they should. And if you do love octopus, you will not resist the way aïoli pulls everything together into something far greater than the sum of its parts.
