Ni**le reconstruction and ar**la tattooing are two options worth knowing about if you’re facing a mastectomy.

In this video, our Global Patient Champion, shares how she decided whether or not to keep her ni***es during her double mastectomy.

If you have your ni***es removed. there are options when it comes to reconstruction. There are ar**la tattoos, ni**le prosthetics, ni**le nubs, and you can choose to do nothing.

Whatever you decide, it’s a personal choice and worth speaking to your surgical team about to understand your options.

For more information about ni**le reconstruction and ni**le tattooing after a mastectomy, download the free BLOOM⁴³ app from the App Store or Google Play.

Pain after a mastectomy is something many people experience, and it needs to be talked about more.

In this clip from our free BLOOM⁴³ app, , Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon, explains post-mastectomy pain syndrome, which she says affects around 20% of women.

It can range from occasional shooting sensations to a constant ache, and because it draws attention to the area where you had breast cancer, it can feel worrying.

If you’re in pain after a mastectomy, speak to your healthcare team so they can check that nothing concerning is going on and talk through ways to help, which can include medication, physiotherapy or massage therapy.

You can find more expert-led guidance like this inside the BLOOM⁴³ app. Download it using the link in our bio.

World Mental Health Day is on October 10th, and during Breast Cancer Awareness Month it's an important moment to talk about how heavy this month can feel for some people 💙

For some, Breast Cancer Awareness Month brings pride, community and purpose. For others it can feel overwhelming, and seeing breast cancer everywhere, on social media, in stores and in the news, can be triggering when you're living it yourself. Both are completely valid.

If this month feels like a lot, know that it's ok to step back, mute accounts, take a break from social media, and do what feels right for you. It's something our Patient Champions, Carly Moosah and Nichole Owens, have shared too, and your wellbeing always comes first.

If you'd like someone to talk to, swipe through to find organizations in the US and UK who are there to listen. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services, which is 911 in the US and 999 in the UK.

You can also connect with others who understand through the community on the free BLOOM⁴³ app, alongside the support above: https://bit.ly/download-bloom43

If this could help someone you know, please consider sharing it.

Do what is right for you this Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💚

Our US Patient Champion, Nichole Owens, was diagnosed with breast cancer almost ten years ago, and she found that speaking up about her experience helped her feel some control at a time when so much was out of her hands. By her first Breast Cancer Awareness Month she felt proud to be a survivor, but she also knows how overwhelming October can be for people living with breast cancer.

Her message is that your mental health matters just as much as your physical health this month, and that sharing your story is one way through but certainly not the only one. If you need to turn down the volume, step away from social media or take a break, that’s a completely valid way to look after yourself.

For support and content to help you through Breast Cancer Awareness Month and beyond, you can download the free BLOOM⁴³ app using the link in our bio.

Congratulations to two remarkable women from the breast cancer community 💚

At the gala lunch, our Global Patient Champion, Carly Moosah, received a Lightning Bolt award and delivered a moving speech on stage. Carly's own experience of breast cancer shapes everything she does for our team, including the free BLOOM⁴³ app that supports patients ahead of their surgery. We are so proud of her, and so grateful to work alongside her.

Congratulations also to Claire Paxman-Lawson of Scalp Cooling, who received a Humanitarian Award. Claire and her family have spent over 30 years supporting patients through chemotherapy, and the award recognizes how much that work means to so many people.

Thank you to Future Dreams Breast Cancer Charity and Sam Jacobs for celebrating the people who make this community what it is.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're offering $150 off the BLOOM⁴³ device from October 1st to 31st, to help more patients access the power of Prehab™. We're also donating 10% of our October net profit to the Breast Reconstruction Org charity to support breast cancer patients* 💙

BLOOM⁴³ is the world's first fully wearable, non-invasive medical device that lets you safely precondition your skin the night before surgery through a process called supraphysiological preconditioning™. By gently warming the treatment area, the body releases Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs), which trigger the release of carbon monoxide into the tissue. This vasodilates the blood vessels and improves blood flow to the skin, helping to reduce the risk of wound healing complications like infection and skin necrosis.

The device is paired with the free BLOOM⁴³ app, where you can prehabilitate with expert-led, evidence-based guidance to help you feel informed, confident and empowered going into surgery.

To claim your discount, download the free BLOOM⁴³ app, open the device page and order as normal. The $150 off is applied automatically at checkout, and the offer applies to both unilateral (one breast) and bilateral (both breasts) orders. HSA/FSA funds can still be used.

Download the free app at https://onelink.to/ryb8fz

*This October, we’re giving back. 10% of the net profit from BLOOM⁴³ device purchases made by self-funding customers (excluding business sales) through the BLOOM⁴³ app in participating states, made from October 1–31, 2026, will be donated to BreastReconstruction.org, helping support people affected by breast cancer. Read our T&Cs using the link in our bio.

In honor of , our US Patient Champion, Nichole, shares her personal experience of learning about her breast density and why understanding it matters to her.

Breast density can affect how breast cancer is detected, yet many people aren't told what it means or how it applies to them. Hearing real stories like Nichole's helps make these conversations clearer, and encourages others to ask the right questions about their own breast health.

If you find out you have dense breast tissue, advocate for yourself and ask about additional screening. Learn more at My Density Matters.

Changes to the body after surgery can affect more than just how you look. They can shape how you feel about yourself, your confidence, and your sense of identity.

Body image and self-esteem don’t always recover at the same pace as the body. For many people, it takes time to adjust, to grieve what’s changed, and to get familiar with a new normal. There’s no right timeline for that process.

This article was written by Zoe Yessaian, COSRT Registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist and founder of The Cancer S*x Therapist. Drawing on both professional experience and lived experience, Zoe explores some of the emotional realities people face after breast surgery, including self-image, patience with healing, and the role of support.

We’re sharing this to help normalise these feelings and remind people they’re not alone in navigating them.

You can read the full article in the free BLOOM⁴³ Prehab™ app.

Not all breast cancer surgery looks the same, and that’s exactly why the conversation with your surgeon matters 💬

This clip is from the BLOOM⁴³ app, where Dr , Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon, breaks down what oncoplastic surgery actually means. If the tumor is large enough to affect the shape or symmetry of your breast, your surgeon may use oncoplastic techniques, sometimes meaning a second surgery later to match both sides.

Her advice: tell your surgeon upfront how you feel about the aesthetics of your breast. Ask about scar placement, timing for symmetry surgery, and what recovery will actually look like for someone with your lifestyle.

This is just one of the expert-led videos inside the BLOOM⁴³ app. Download it for free to access the full library and get properly prepared for your surgery.
