Always a good time on solemate!

Had so much fun playing with my bestie in a room full of of playing adults.

We so needed this after a long drive in the car from London

He said his feet felt amazing after!

Haven't been on my Solemate in a while, so good to see I've still got it with baby on board 😃

Thank you so much .myo for a great class. Your energy is fab! And loved your easy depth of explanation including the fascial system.
It was great to meet you in person!

Foot Strength Tip | Having good alignment gets the best out of your calf raise.

Two things can happen:
You struggle to keep your feet from turning out (bunions anyone?)
Your ankles fall out as you rise (I'm looking at you flexy ankle people).

Here's how I helped my client to not avoid the big toe joint and go straight over in good alignment while keeping his heels from moving in and together as he landed.

The block:
Between the big toes and big toe joint on the side.
Great alignment cue for big toe and helps stay parallel.

The ball:
Keeps heels aligned with the front of your foot.
Works a treat for both ankles that fall out and heels that fall in.

Try this out on yourself or your clients if you're a movement pro.

Movement and stability focus for my prenatal pelvic pain.

It's just started to kick in now that I'm approaching the 3rd trimester.

That relaxin is doing its thing preparing my pelvis for the birth of my baby.
With that comes some sensations of discomfort and instability.

So here's what I'm doing.

This YouTube prenatal FAMO class with Bea Eggimann for fluid glide and ease around around the tightening low back area as it supports the growing weight of my bump.

An SPD-specific class to address stability at the pelvis with Dr. Jen Fraboni, PT, DPT on YouTube.

Another one by Bea Eggimann for easing entanglement of tissues around the sitz bones and tightness of pelvic floor.

I wrestled with the title and then it made sense once I thought of the concept in a different context.

I was behind the movie 100% and knew I would love it.

But the title kept putting me off, until I remembered the trick I used to help my kids feel better when they were little and hurt themselves.

The upshot is is an EXCELLENT documentary and I'd highly recommend you watch it even if you're sceptical.

It might open your eyes to a whole new wonderful world of health and longevity.

Loving life with

In this pregnancy my go to movement is:

💫A lot of fascia movement
💫Some Pilates
💫Lots of foot stability and release
💫Weight training.

My last pregnancy I hadn't discovered weight training or fascial education and hadn't started my barefoot and foot health journey.

It's really wild seeing how much these three in particular are benefiting me this time around.

It feels so good to feel strong and resilient.
I also feel slower, have the odd aches and overall more out of breath in activity, all normal and expected.

How are you loving to move in your pregnancy or just in general?

Adding resistance to my toe splay foot work.

A great way to improve mobility and strengthen the intrinsic foot muscles.

I'm using the long band from

I hooked it around my big toe, the trusty hallux, and then twisted and looped it around my heel.

Then again from the other direction.

One side is resisting toe extension.
The other side is resisting toe flexion.

It's great feedback to the movement too.

If you have a long toe band give it a try.

Or you can grab a full set from Soxsense.
