In just a few short weeks we’ll be heading back to Leeds for our 7th Vets Now ECC Congress! 🎉

Each morning you can join Chloé in the yoga studio across from the Armouries and start your day well. On Thursday an animal-themed yoga flow class will help to energise you for the event ahead, while on Friday the Yoga Nidra class will help you to recover from the fabulous gala dinner the night before, and restore you for the rest of Congress!

Our fabulous assistant returning for her 5th year in a row - and by this point a fixed feature on the VetYogi stand at this event - is Sue 💚 We’ll be there to help you find the perfect Christmas pressie, a little something to elevate your yoga practice, and leave with all the info you need to help improve the physical & mental wellbeing of your teams back in practice 🩺

Speaking of which - ask us about Yogi+! Our new membership tier on our newly revamped VetYogi Collective platform, Yogi+ combines our full library of yoga, meditation & breath work classes for veterinary professionals PLUS our new exclusive wellbeing CPD content 🌟 Come and see us to find out more…

We hope to see you there - let us know if the comments if you’re coming too!

Next up for our colleague appreciation collaboration series for Black History Month is Joshua, also known as 🖤

This year’s theme is “Honouring Our Communities”, so being from South London with Guyanese 🇬🇾 heritage, Joshua is a wonderful example of honouring some of the diverse communities that are currently underrepresented in vet med here in the UK.

A proud vet nurse who enjoys schedule 3 procedures and is currently working towards his certificate in anaesthesia, Joshua currently works in a couple of different vet practices. With both contributing towards supporting SVNs & vet students, Joshua relishes a mentoring role and helping students & colleagues to thrive.

We’re grateful to Joshua for sharing his time & experiences with us here, so watch on to learn more about clinical opportunities for vet nurses, what it’s like to be black & male in veterinary nursing, and how Joshua looks after his wellbeing 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾

Black History Month is back here in the UK, and so are we with another round of wonderful collaborations to highlight the contributions of some of our colleagues from black communities to veterinary medicine 🖤

This year’s theme is “Honouring Our Communities”, so we couldn’t start with a better person than Nicole given that she is a part of so many smaller communities within the larger vet profession!

We first met Nicole through the fabulous community several years ago, and during this time she has also been waving the flag for communities advocating for EDI in veterinary, such as and .

She now works part-time in small animal practice, having started a new part-time role in the civil service several months ago, and is enjoying the balance that it brings.

We’re also delighted to have Nicole as part of the VetYogi community, and she will be joining us again on our stand at this year’s London Vet Show so come and say hello if you’re coming! Not only that, but this year Nicole is being recognised by the 30 Under 30, so she is definitely one to watch!

Huge thanks to Nicole for collaborating with us and sharing her thoughts on diversity & representation within vet med - watch on to hear more 😻

Last week we returned to catch up with the fabulous team & delegates for BVRA Congress 😺

It’s always such a pleasure to speak to this receptive crowd, and we loved seeing them give some chair yoga & breath work a go with Chloé in our practical session bespoke for veterinary receptionists.

Back by popular demand, Sarah gave our fellow exhibitors a breather and much-needed stretch with a standing yoga demo in the exhibition hall.

We’re here for the whole vet team and community regardless of role! 💚

Thanks for having us back, and to everyone who came to see us on the stand. Give your 10 Day Meditation Challenge a go and watch out for our brand new VetYogi Collective platform - and Yogi+ CPD content - going live soon 🙌🏻

Stress, burnout & compassion fatigue are unfortunately common states of being for veterinary professionals ❤️‍🔥

These terms are often used interchangeably, but all have specific indicators and some differences.

In our latest blog - Understanding Stress, Burnout & Compassion Fatigue in Vet Med - we aim to define and explore them, check-in with what the research teaches us, and how we can practically reduce their impact in ourselves and our working environments…

Yoga & meditation are valuable tools for helping to manage stress and re-connect you with your true self - the person at the core of the job title, vocation, and multiple hats we all wear, and we’re here to help at VetYogi! 🧘🏻‍♀️

When talking about veterinary mental health and burnout, we’d be remiss not to mention the extensive body of research & resources provided by Dr. Dr Rosie Allister (a tiny part of which we reference) and the Vetlife team, so please do check that out too.

We’re not saying you can “yoga” your way out of all of this, so if any of this strikes a chord at a time you’re suffering, please do remember Vetlife are here for the vet profession 24/7, 365, or reach out to someone you trust/a mental health professional 💚

In just ✨ 2 weeks ✨ we’re heading back for another fabulous BVRA Congress

Last year was so much fun, and we are looking forward to reconnecting with our veterinary receptionist pals, and of course making some new ones!

Chloé is once again taking to the stage, but this time for a more practical session - let’s use that wellbeing toolkit in real time together 🪑🧘🏻‍♀️
Don’t miss it 12.30 - 13.00 for a bit of self-care in your chair!

Sarah returns to join Chloé on the stand, so will be there to answer all of your questions, help you treat yourself to a candle or one of our tops, plus she might be persuaded to lead a bit of yoga for our fellow exhibitors again 🙌🏻

Let us know in the comments if we’ll see you there, or what your favourite moment from last year was!

See you in Solihull…
