Sometimes exhaustion comes from everything your mind keeps running in the background. Unanswered messages, unfinished decisions, appointments, and unresolved conversations can each use a little attention.

Adult friendships don’t maintain themselves, as much as we’d like them to.

Jess shares why the people we care about most are often the ones we see the least, and the small, slightly unglamorous habit that’s helped her stay close to her friends.

Sometimes it really is as simple as putting it in the diary.

Big decisions rarely arrive with perfect certainty. Waiting for every doubt to disappear can keep you stuck, while rushing can make fear look like clarity.

These questions can help you untangle urgency, other people’s expectations, missing information and your current priorities.

Save this post for the next time you’re weighing up a big decision.

OCD isn’t about being difficult.

This OCD Awareness Week, Tash is sharing what it was like before her diagnosis, and why learning to listen to yourself (rather than the narrative you’ve built up) changes everything.

If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. A GP is a good place to start if OCD feels like it might be part of the picture, and talking to someone, whether that’s someone close to you, someone who’s been through it themselves, or a Pleso Therapy therapist, can help too.

Mental load is easy to underestimate because so much of it is invisible. A small task can sit in the back of your mind for days before you actually do it.

Write the open tasks down. Then decide: do it, delegate it, schedule it, or let it go. The goal isn’t to finish everything today. It’s to stop carrying every reminder in your working memory.

Save this mini audit for the next overloaded week.

It’s OCD Awareness Week, a time to talk more openly about what OCD actually looks like, beyond the stereotypes and the jokes about being “a bit OCD”. The more honestly we talk about it, the easier it gets for everyone to understand.

These conversations, and being heard, can genuinely help someone feel less alone. But if anything here brings up questions about your own experience, that’s something to bring to a specialist, not something to work out on your own.

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day, and we’ve got something for you, from us and our ambassador 💙

So here’s the task: block out tomorrow for yourself. Not just a bubble bath and an early night (though no judgement if that’s exactly what you need). A proper slow morning. The walk you keep putting off. The friend you’ve been meaning to call. Whatever actually fills you back up.

Here’s the thing though. One day a year was never going to be enough. Tomorrow is just a reminder of what we should be doing more often anyway.

Watch for George’s message tomorrow, and let’s see how much of this we can carry past one day.

Some familiar rules began as someone else’s words.

Knowing where a thought came from does not explain everything. It can give you a place to begin asking whether that rule still fits your life.

You do not need an instant answer.

One person does not have to be your whole support system.

Company, practical help and a space to work through recurring patterns can meet different needs.

Think of one kind of support that would help you now. Therapy can be one part of that circle.

You know how one search ends up shaping everything your feed shows you afterwards? Thoughts do something similar. The longer you stay with one, the more of the same start turning up.
