A line or wrinkle is only part of the picture.

When assessing patient’s skin, I also consider its firmness, texture and how it has changed over time. Together, these details help me understand what may be appropriate for the patient.

In my conversation with The Independent about collagen banking, I shared something that underpins my approach to aesthetics: supporting the skin as it changes throughout life.

That philosophy also informs how I consider treatments such as JULÄINE, an injectable collagen biostimulator designed to encourage the skin’s own collagen production and gradually improve firmness.

Whether it is right for you begins with an individual assessment. We discuss your concerns, what the treatment may achieve and how those changes develop over time.

My role is to help you understand your options and feel confident in the decisions you make about your skin.

To discuss JULÄINE and whether it could be suitable for you, book a consultation via the link in my bio.

Netflix hasn’t called, but I’m rehearsing anyway. After all, there’s already enough material for three seasons. 🎬😂

There are versions of me I will never become because I chose this life instead.

I needed to let myself say that tonight. Without immediately following it with how grateful I am. Without reminding myself how lucky I am. Because I am grateful, deeply. And there is still grief.

I don’t think we talk about that enough. Especially as women. We’re told we can have it all. And when we discover we can’t, not really, we’re told to choose what matters most. As though once we’ve made the right choice, we shouldn’t mourn what that choice required us to leave behind.

But I do.

There is a version of me who could have gone harder. Built bigger. Said yes more. Given everything to finding out just how successful I could become.

And I think she could have been extraordinary.

That’s difficult to admit. Because I chose not to become her. Not because I couldn’t. Because I began to understand what becoming her might cost me.

There are only so many evenings. So many bedtimes. So many ordinary Tuesdays around our dinner table. Only so many years my daughters will run towards me like I’m the most important person in the room. Only so much of a marriage you can postpone until life becomes less busy.

So I chose. And I am still choosing.

But this is what I needed to hear tonight:

You are allowed to grieve the woman you might have been, even when you love the woman you chose to become.

You don’t have to diminish her potential to justify leaving her behind. You don’t have to pretend you couldn’t have done it. You don’t have to call the sacrifice a blessing before you’re allowed to acknowledge that it hurt.

Maybe for you it’s a career. A business. Another child. A version of motherhood. A relationship. A person you know you could have become.

You can miss her. You can wonder about her. You can grieve her.

That doesn’t mean you chose wrong. It means choosing one life meant relinquishing another.

Tonight, I’m letting myself grieve mine. Tomorrow I’ll wake up inside the life I chose. My girls. My marriage. My work.

I don’t think I chose less.

I chose what I was no longer willing to lose.

How we approach thread placement can make all the difference to the final result.

Pulling every thread back towards the entry point can cause product to gather in one area, creating an uneven finish.

By using a combination of longer and shorter threads, we can distribute and blend product more carefully, helping to restore volume while keeping the result smooth and natural-looking.

At Mediject Academy, we go beyond teaching technique, helping clinicians understand the clinical thinking behind each decision and why those details matter.

If you’re ready to refine your technique, build greater confidence and elevate the way you approach facial aesthetics, book a one-to-one call to discover whether the Mediject programme is the right next step for you.
