An experience of peace and connection.

I have felt so invaded by technology that this break was salvation.
I still had my doubts and fears but there were so quiet compared to the time I have access to social media.
I know it’s difficult to get out of this system but life has a much better taste without it.

Sometimes, resting is exactly what moving forward looks like. 🌿

But how do you know when your body needs rest… and when it actually needs movement?

Because tiredness isn’t just one thing.

Sometimes you’re physically depleted.
Sometimes you’re mentally overloaded.
Sometimes you’ve had too little sleep.
Sometimes you’ve simply been sitting for too long and your body needs to move.

And sometimes, your body really is asking you to stop.

The answer isn’t always to push through.
And it isn’t always to do nothing either.

It starts with getting curious:

What would support my body — and me — right now?

A workout?
A walk?
Some fresh air?
A few breaths?
Or simply lying down and resting?

You don’t have to earn your rest.

I explore this in my latest blog, “Should You Exercise When You’re Tired?” — including a simple practice to help you pause, check in and choose what you need.

You can be flexible and still not move very well.

I was talking to a friend about this recently, and it made me realise how often we use flexibility and mobility as though they mean the same thing.

They don’t.

Flexibility is about the range of movement you have.

Mobility is about how well you can access, control and use that movement.

And sometimes, when you feel stiff or restricted, stretching more isn’t necessarily what your body needs.

It might need more strength, control, stability — or simply a different way of moving.

I explore the difference (and why it matters in everyday life) in my latest blog.

Mobility vs Flexibility: What’s the Difference & Why Does It Matter?

Have you ever had one of those days when your mind feels foggy, but you can’t quite explain why?

Something happened with a client recently that made me think about this.

She was feeling mentally foggy, and after one minute of plank, she noticed that her mind felt clearer.

No — the plank didn’t “cure” her brain fog. That’s not what this is about.

What interested me was the shift she experienced when she moved, breathed, focused and connected with her body.

We often think of the mind as something that happens in our head, separate from the rest of us.

But your body is constantly communicating with your brain — often without you consciously noticing it.

So perhaps, sometimes, when your mind feels overloaded, the answer isn’t another thought.

Maybe it’s an opportunity to move, notice and listen.

Save this for the next time your mind feels foggy — and try the 2-minute reset in the carousel.

And if you want to explore what your body might be telling you, my latest blog goes a little deeper into this.

What If Brain Fog Isn’t Just in Your Head?

What if brain fog isn’t just in your head?

Something unexpected happened with a client this morning.

She arrived feeling mentally foggy. We moved, she held a plank for one minute… and afterwards she told me her mind felt clearer.

Now, to be clear: a plank doesn’t cure brain fog. And I’m not suggesting that one minute of exercise is a treatment for it.

But her experience made me think about something fascinating: how connected our mind and body are, and how movement can sometimes change the way we feel and experience ourselves in the moment.

She wasn’t trying to “fix” her brain fog.

She was simply moving, focusing, breathing and feeling her body — and she noticed a shift.

Sometimes, we try to think our way out of how we’re feeling.

Maybe clarity doesn’t always start with another thought.

I’ve explored this experience and the mind–body connection in my latest blog:

What If Brain Fog Isn’t Just in Your Head?

If stretching only gives you temporary relief.. this one’s for you.
You stretch.
You move.
You try to look after your body.

But somehow the tightness keeps coming back.
And maybe you’re starting to wonder:
« Is this just what getting older feels like? »

No. Not necessarily.

Feeling tight doesn’t automatically mean that your muscles simply need more stretching.

Sometimes it’s worth looking at the bigger picture:
✨how much you’re asking your body
✨how much variety you’re giving it
✨your training and recovery
✨how long you spend in the same positions
✨how stress might be influencing how your body feels

The answer isn’t always « stretch more »

Sometimes it’s listen more.

I wrote about this in my latest blog: why am I always tight ?
