Movement matters at every stage of life. Movement, strength and balance can help prevent MSK problems before they become pain, disability and lost independence.

But for people already living with an MSK condition, movement can be even more important.

The right movement, supported by the right advice and treatment, can help people manage symptoms, maintain strength and mobility, build confidence and stay independent.

Because movement isn't just about preventing problems. For millions of people living with an MSK condition, it can be part of living well with one.

For practical support why not sign up for our Movement Snacks programme https://www.arthritisaction.org.uk/movement_snacks/

And that's why as ARMA members we say, its one of our to make MSK health a priority.

20 million people. 20 million reasons.

"We do need a joined-up approach if we are ever going to start making inroads into reducing delay to diagnosis. Because at the end of the day, it's, it's a patient. It's someone sitting in front of us, somebody who is a father, mother, brother to somebody else."

In the latest podcast Marc talks to Professor Antoni Chan, Professor of Rheumatology and Translational Medicine at The University of Reading. Specialising in Axial Spondyloarthritis, he tells us all about what the condition is, how it differs from other types of inflammatory arthritis, and what the options for treatment are, from pharmaceutical to self-management.

Where you live can shape how an MSK condition affects your life. In England’s most deprived areas, 21.8% of adults report a long-term MSK condition, compared with 14.4% in the least deprived. Alongside ARMA we are saying everyone deserves fair access to early support.
