Reiki will always be my go to. I love how sometimes we think we know what we want until we have a session and the truth shines through. Our bodies know what we need but our minds get in the way. We can convince ourselves of many things, we create barriers, false realities, cryptic scenarios and can even convince ourselves of many own bodies we are ill or weak.

The mind will always say yes, if you feed it with negativity it will find the evidence to prove you right. It’s time to shift that perspective, search for the positives and start to shift that energy!

Reiki is a great way to help shift energy and it can leave you feeling like a new person after. Energy gets stored in the body and reeks havoc with our mental and physical health.

I love to create sessions that feel safe and secure so you can truly relax and let that energy do it’s work. We can set plans and shift perspectives after each session so that you can continue to keep that good energy flowing.

Just remember that in a session we don’t always get what we want, we get what we need and I love that!

Pop me a message if you would like to book a session and between us we can find a date and time that suits you.

Apparently the opposite of anxiety is not calm, its creativity! If that’s true I must be doing better than I feel! Ha

To be fair this must be true as when you get into the creativity zone, your kind kind of goes quiet. There is no room for anxious thinking. Maybe this is why I constantly seek comfort in making things.

Now to think about a new project!

What is the Sunday slow down?

It’s a place to stop, rest and reset.

I guide you through a series of helpful tips and tricks, help you shift your perspective and allow you to leave feeling rested and empowered to take your own mental well being into your own hands. We all have this power, you just need a bit of guidance to help you find it.

Every one is amazed when we end a session with a 30 minute mindful meditation. They can’t believe they achieved such peace and stillness. It’s often something no one has ever really experienced or allowed them selves to try. I can help to prove to you that you can do it!

I set you up throughout the session, giving you all the information you need to be truly mindful in that moment. To guide you and to show you that you are not failing when your mind is busy. Learning to accept what our minds are trying to show us is the key to mindfulness.

Come and join me next Sunday and I can help you achieve this to.

My favourite advice to give:

Give yourself 24 hours.

We are all allowed down days, difficult days and meh days. We are all human at the end of the day. No one can be happy, together, calm and efficient every single day. Some days are just naturally harder.

I always like to give myself 24 hours. If I wake up one day and I’m feeling down, unmotivated or just want to laze about and indulge in food I know I shouldn’t. I do it.

24 hours to allow myself to feel the feels. No one has to be happy and calm all the time. Life is hard and sometimes it’s hard to juggle it all. But by allowing yourself 24 hours to say it’s ok I feel like this today. It’s ok to rest, to indulge or just feel sad. Acknowledging your feelings is a super powerful thing to do. Don’t just push it down and carry on regardless. Listen to your body, see what its telling you. What do you need?

The big turning point though is just 24 hours. The following morning you get up and start to pull yourself back together. Try not to allow the feelings of yesterday ruin your today. Grab it by the bits and turn it around. Use your mindful tools. Shift that perspective.

When to seek help:
If you can’t get yourself out of it and 24 hours turns into 48 etc.
If you have too many down days in your week. You don’t want to be suffering in that state. You want more good days than bad.

Sometimes just allowing yourself 24 hours to feel the feels with no judgement and the ethos of “it is what it is” no explanation to anyone, you feelings of guilt or that you shouldn’t feel the way you feel. It works a treat for me. Half the time I don’t even need these days but knowing it’s ok is always enough.

I’m sitting here thinking about how I can’t quite believe that I am where I am right now. Mentally that is, physically I’m in the same place doing the same stuff.

I’m quickly approaching my first come back Sunday slow down and my first mindfulness guidance session this weekend. I’m doing a talk on my offering and how I can help people along their mindful path on bank holiday Monday. Wow!

I genuinely wasn’t sure if I could find my way back after the things that have happened in the last year but here I am, doing what Dad would of been proud of. It almost cements even more the mindfulness and energy work that I do because there was a possible version of me that was lurking in the shadows ready to resurface.

This is why I feel so passionate about my mindful work and guiding others. I’m living proof it helps and I live the way I advise. I speak from the heart and the truth and I’m so here for others.

Grief is a rocky messy road and who knows what the path ahead looks like but with the strength and tools I have I’m pretty sure the path is manageable.

If anyone needs help and guidance with reiki or mindfulness please don’t feel afraid to reach out. watch out for my sessions at henstead arts and crafts centre or book in for a support session. I’ll help in any way I can.

Here’s to keeping our heads above water and still finding those glimmers 😍

Lots of love

Get sh*t done list! I can be the queen of procrastination!

I keep waking up with a low level anxious feeling and feel like I have a million things to do literally from the moment I open my eyes. I then have to work hard to settle that down so it doesn’t creep into the rest of my day.

I think I know where this feeling is coming from though. The mental load of a working parent in the school holidays is mega! I know I have lots to sort and plan yet I keep putting off the important stuff thinking I’ll “do it tomorrow”.

Tomorrow comes and something else gets in the way, another day out, another planned meet up (all lovely things by the way!) work. But I still have that low level of anxiety running through knowing I still have so much to organise. So here is what I done:

I created a “get sh*t done list”. Basically a brain dump but of all the big and little fiddly bits I need to do. I then set myself an hour to get as much ticked off as I could. Most of it was ordering uniforms, making payments and planning my sessions. I aimed to gets a chunk done before I got on with the day. They are all things that need doing regardless so why not smash through and be kind to my future self.

Procrastination- putting things off and finding an alternative distraction actually comes from a deep rooted fear or anxiety over the thing you are putting off. Your brain is clever. It knows you feel a bit anxious about the thing you need to do so it tries to protect you. Distraction is where it directs you. The only way to stop procrastination is to grab it by the goolies and take a stand. Just get it done! Ha

I have now managed to enjoy parts of my day knowing I haven’t got the big stuff hanging over me and it feels marvellous.

We all do it but just remember to be kind to your future self and stop putting things off.

Lots of love

My mindfulness for beginners sessions are brand new and I haven’t seen much out there like it. I wanted to add clarity for people hovering on the edge and wondering if mindfulness is for them.

My sessions are designed to help you understand mindfulness. Without the understanding of what you are actually trying to achieve you will instantly feel like you have failed and won’t try it ever again. This may have already happened to you. I hate to think you are missing out.

I want to share my knowledge and make mindfulness so accessible to everyone.

Being able to cultivate mindfulness into your life can do such wonders for your mental well-being and your responses to future stress.

You don’t need a reason to be mindful. It’s not therapy. It’s a change in perspective and a new way of living.

It’s not just about sitting quietly and listening to the birds. It has so much that runs deeper and with a few fundamental tips and some supportive guidance you can leave my session with a whole new outlook on life and the way you handle stress.

Mindfulness was a game changer for me. It doesn’t take up loads of your time at home, It’s not difficult when you understand it and the more you put in the more you get out! Soon enough you get so used to you new way of thinking bath it becomes effortless and that’s where we all want to be.

My groups are small, no one has to share anything, it’s just a way for me to try and get the information you need to you in an easily accessible, supportive environment.

If you have any questions, please send them my way, I’m more than happy to help.

Much love
Steph

I have wanted to do this for so long and now the time feels right!

Mindfulness for beginners is perfect for anyone wanting to explore and understand the art of mindfulness.

I live my life by this now and it’s helped and improved my mental well-being no end. I want to pass on that knowledge and give you guys the information and tools you need to adapt mindfulness into your life.

There are so many myths, and what people think are restrictions to mindfulness. I want to show you what it is, how it helps and how you can incorporate it into your own life.

Small group settings for a relaxed and friendly vibe. No experience needed just the eagerness to learn a new way of living.

Mindfulness is for everyone, there is no restriction.

Honestly once you understand what mindfulness truly is, a whole new path can open for you and I’m here to guide you down that path.

Pop me a message if you would like to secure a space.

Lots of love

2 little videos for you. Just to see if I can communicate with you better via video rather than writing. I need to do something to help make my posts more engaging and apparently this is the best way? They are only short. I’m trying to find an easier way to deliver the information I need to give to you all.

After posting I still think iv done it wrong! Ha. I’m not technically minded and I think iv cut myself off 😂 but you get the gist of it! Ha
