🍂 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬?

Everywhere I look there’s orange... crunchy autumn leaves, pumpkins, sweet potatoes (I’ve been craving them 🧡) and it got me thinking about the 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙧𝙖

Located at the lower abdomen (below your bellly button), it’s traditionally associated with the colour orange, the water element and our sense of 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒘.

And autumn feels such a good reminder of this energy centre...

Nature doesn't fight the change. It lets go, shifts and flows into the next season.

🧡 So if you’re feeling a bit BLEH - here’s a little 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 to nurture yourself with:
• Eat the orange! Pumpkin, carrots, sweet potato, oranges, turmeric
• Move your body in ways that feel GOOD
• Make time for something creative 🖌
• Do something simply because you enjoy it (mine is a epsom salt lavender bath before bed!)
• Ask yourself... where could I loosen my grip and allow a little more flow?

And if you're finding a transition in your own life difficult — or you've lost a little of your spark lately — kinesiology can be a lovely way to explore what might need some support.

🌳 What are you rooted in when life feels a little wobbly?

I pulled a Diana Cooper Wisdom card today all about SUPPORT and I loved its reminder that, just like plants, we need strong roots too.

People who nourish us (thank you Darshika Bower | Chronic Pain & Anxiety Specialist & Judith Crook ). Good food. Nature. Rest. Feeling supported... and remembering we don’t have to do everything alone.

So a little question for you this week...

What could you do to strengthen your roots?

Maybe it’s seeing a friend, getting outside, cooking something nourishing, asking for help... or simply making a little space for yourself.

This is such a big part of the work I love doing too — supporting you nutritionally, emotionally and energetically, and helping you come back to the authentic, all present YOU!

I have a few kinesiology appointments available in Lubenham:

♡ Fri 2 Oct — 1pm

♡ Mon 5 Oct — 1pm

♡ Wed 7 Oct — 10am or 12pm

♡ Thurs 8 Oct — 10am or 12pm

♡ Mon 12 Oct — 1pm

If you feel like you could do with a little support yourself, you’re very welcome to message me.

Can you feel that little chill in the air? 🍂

A client said to me this week that she was ready to start “wintering”... and I thought YES, me too.

For me it’s cosier evenings, hearty meals (packing as many veggies as I can into a big stew 😆), earlier nights... but also this feeling of being ready to slow things down a little.

Less rushing. Less trying to control everything. Less stressing because we're 3 minutes late for school 🙈

And maybe a little more nourishing ourselves.

So, what does “wintering” look like for you? 🍁

And if part of looking after yourself this autumn is finally making a little time for YOU, I have a few kinesiology appointments available in my therapy room in Lubenham:

🌿 Thurs 24 Sept — 10am & 12pm
🌿 Fri 25 Sept — 10am
🌿 Mon 28 Sept — 1pm
🌿 Wed 30 Sept — 1pm
🌿 Thurs 1 Oct — 10am & 12pm
🌿 Fri 2 Oct — 12pm

If you've never tried kinesiology and you're curious about how it could support you, just pop me a message... you're very welcome to come and experience it for yourself. 🤍

YOU vs YOU 🥊

I heard these three words at my daughter’s parents’ evening this week and they’ve really stayed with me.

Because how often do we compare?

To the woman who seems to have more energy.
The friend who sailed through perimenopause.
Someone on Instagram who appears to have it all together…

Or perhaps the hardest comparison of all — the woman you used to be.

But your experience of perimenopause is uniquely yours.

Your body. Your story. Your stresses. Your nutritional needs. Your emotional load. Your nervous system.

So rather than asking “Why don’t I feel like her?” or even “Why can’t I feel like I used to?”…

What if you asked:

What does MY body need from me now?

Because life is too precious to spend this chapter fighting yourself or feeling like you’re somehow getting it wrong.

Get curious about her. Listen to her. Understand what she needs… and decide how you want to move forward from here.

And if you feel like you need some help making sense of it all, that’s exactly why I created my online REWILD Perimenopause Assessment — an hour dedicated to you, your symptoms and understanding what your body needs next.

You can find out more or book through the link in my bio, or DM me PERI for details.

Much love,
Karen xx

And breathe... the kids are back at school! 😅

After weeks of juggling, later nights, holidays, different routines (and probably putting yourself somewhere near the bottom of the list), September can feel like a really good time to come back to YOU.

More energy. A calmer head. Better sleep. Feeling more like yourself again!

If your body is telling you it needs a little attention too, I have a few kinesiology appointments available this week:

🌿 Wednesday 9th — 10am & 1pm
🌿 Thursday 10th — 10am & 1pm

📍Lubenham.

Curious about kinesiology or wondering if it could help with what you're experiencing? Pop me a message and we can have a chat.

Gratitude… but with a difference ✨

Not another wellness task where you mindlessly list 10 things you’re grateful for (let’s be realistic, you might do it for a week and then loose momentum 😆).

Instead, I just want you to choose 1–2 things. Then simply….

💚Close your eyes.
💚Take 4 slow in hales and exhales.
💚Relax your shoulders (let them drop!) and jaw… and then connect with the feeling underneath what you’re grateful for. Let me show you a few examples….

Your morning collagen coffee → so the feeling to connect with is feeling nourished
Your car → feeing freedom
Your healthy body → feeling whole/ strong
Your partner being supportive → feeling loved
A walk with a friend → feeling connected

The magic isn’t just thinking gratitude. It’s allowing your body to feel it & the emotion it embodies

Just 1–2 minutes to step out of the thinking, rushing, doing… and shift into a different emotional state. This is how you can upgrade your energy, frequency and coherence 🥳

And there’s an upgrade to this practice too 👀

Want it? DM me GRATITUDE and I’ll send it over 🤍

Much love, Karen xx

This card really made me think today…

We talk so much about nourishing our bodies with good food, movement, sleep etc… but what about the thoughts we’re feeding ourselves too?

So when I notice my mind disappearing down one of those rabbit holes 🙈 I’m going to try to catch it… come back to the present, come back to my breath and consciously choose where I put my energy.

And tomorrow I’m sharing another little practice I’m going to start again ✨
It’s so simple, but I think you’ll love it!

What does this card make you realise? Is there anything you want to do differently? I’d genuinely love to know 🤍

Much love, Karen xx

Anyone else finding getting back into routine a little overwhelming? 😅

Kids, work, appointments, family life, partners...and at this stage of life, often many have elderly parents too.

So, yes, there can be A LOT to hold in our heads.

And I’ve realised that trying to remember everything is actually exhausting...it’s using up energy I want to protect!

Especially in perimenopause, when we might already be feeling more overwhelmed, forgetful or mentally overloaded, sometimes the simplest tools can really help.

For me, it’s getting everything out of my head and onto our big family calendar. It doesn’t make the diary any less full 😆...but somehow my brain can breathe a little easier knowing I don’t have to remember it all.

Our energy is our vitality...so I’m all for finding little ways to protect it wherever I can!

🙋‍♀️ What tools do you use to make life feel a bit easier and take some of the load off your brain? Please do share, as I’d love to learn more!

Big loves,
Karen x

After the summer holidays of rushing around, running the kids here, there & everywhere, being away and sometimes just grabbing lunch on the go... I’m really enjoying coming back to simple, nourishing lunches.

You know those days when lunch hasn’t quite hit the spot...then suddenly you’re STARVING (and a little hangry 😆).

So this September, one of the simplest ways I’m supporting my body, energy & emotions is making sure I actually have a nourishing lunch.

Nothing fancy...and definitely no strict reset or detox!

I’m simply making a little extra at dinner — leftover broccoli, salmon, roasted veg, whatever we’re having — and popping an extra portion in a glass container ready for the next day.

Then I might add some hummus, olives, olive oil, seeds...or make a quick omelette. And finish with some extra fibre from different fruits, or maybe dates, nuts & a little dark chocolate ❤️

Especially in perimenopause, keeping ourselves well nourished and our blood sugar steadier can make such a difference to how we feel physically and emotionally.

It’s less about restriction and more about asking...what can I add to really nourish my body today?

What are you enjoying for lunch at the moment? Or how are you nourishing your body this September?

Big loves,
Karen x
