Do you know what happens at a breast screening appointment? Knowing what to expect at your appointment can help you feel more at ease.
NHS breast screening is first offered to women aged between 50 and 53, and then every three years until they are 71.
The mammographers will always be female and are trained to help you feel more comfortable and give you support.
If you are aged 71 or older, you can still have breast screening every three years if you want to.

Flu can be serious, especially as you get older. The flu vaccine helps reduce your risk of becoming seriously ill or needing hospital treatment.
But this protection reduces over time and the types of flu virus the vaccine protects against are updated each year. This is why it's important to get the flu vaccine every year
If you’re 65 or over, you can get a free NHS flu vaccine.

The clocks go back tonight — a timely reminder to think about vitamin D.

From October to March, our bodies can’t make enough vitamin D from sunlight. To keep bones and muscles healthy, it’s best to take a daily 10 microgram supplement of vitamin D.

You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and retailers.
