October is Menopause Awareness Month, and this is a conversation we really wanted to make space for. ๐ค
One thing we keep noticing when talking to women is just how many of us reach our 30s and 40s without really knowing what perimenopause might look like.
We know about the hot flushes.
But what about suddenly feeling more anxious?
Not sleeping like you used to?
Walking into a room and completely forgetting why youโre there?
Periods changing.
Feeling exhausted.
Aching for no obvious reason.
Or simply thinkingโฆ
โI just donโt feel like myself lately.โ
And then you hear that perimenopause can begin as early as your mid-30s and suddenly you thinkโฆ why did nobody tell us this?
Thatโs really what inspired this little October series.
Every Monday this month, we want to open up the conversation around menopause and share information that feels real, practical and actually useful โ from understanding symptoms to movement, yoga, strength, rest and simple tools you can try for yourself.
Because women deserve to understand what may be happening in their bodies rather than spending years wondering whether itโs all in their head.
So weโre starting at the beginning.
Swipe through for our simple introduction to perimenopause and menopause, some of the signs that can easily be missed and a few facts we think every woman deserves to know.
And next Monday, weโre getting practical with yoga tools that can help support you through some of the common symptoms.
Weโd also really love to hear from youโฆ
Whatโs one perimenopause or menopause symptom you were completely unprepared for?
Your answer might just help another woman realise she isnโt the only one. ๐ค
