Our team recently visited Saint Mary's Hospital as part of the 'Happy Homes Project'.

They connected with expectant mothers and shared information about the support available through Ethnic Health Forum.

These outreach sessions are a valuable opportunity to engage with families, build trusted connections, and ensure mothers feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their pregnancy journey.

A big thank you to everyone who spoke with us. 💐

🎗️In recognition of October being we were delighted to welcome 14 women from across Manchester and Salford to our Cancer & Genomics awareness session at Marlborough Community Hub, Salford 💕

We hosted this session to bring women together and raise awareness.
The event brought together women from a range of backgrounds, including Middle Eastern, South Asian and African ladies, creating a diverse space for them to connect and share experiences. 🌍

The session explored cancer screening programmes available in the UK, family health history and genomics, helping participants understand more about the importance of early detection and how knowing our family health history can support informed health decisions.
Participants also received the chance to learn what breast self-examination is and the importance of recognising changes in the body.🧬

Thank you for everyone who has attended and contributed to the discussion. Your insights made the session so valuable! 😊

Stay tuned for our upcoming Cancer & Genomic events!

❤️ Empowering Families with Lifesaving First Aid Skills

Our Adult & Infant First Aid Training was a great success!
As part of Ethnic Health Forum’s 'Happy Homes Project', we welcomed parents, new mothers and fathers, pregnant women, community members, volunteers and staff for a practical and engaging training session delivered with the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

The session gave families valuable hands-on knowledge and confidence in responding to first aid situations involving both infants and adults.
This reflects the Happy Homes Project ethos of supporting and empowering minority ethnic families through practical skills, knowledge and psychosocial family support.

A huge thank you to North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, everyone who attended, and all those who helped make the session such a positive experience. 💙

💙 Happy Homes Project – Supporting Mothers and Families in Manchester

Our Happy Homes Project continues to provide psychosocial and practical family support to women from ethnic minority communities across Manchester.

As part of our ongoing support for mothers-to-be, we were delighted to facilitate the delivery of new baby Moses baskets, generously provided by Early Essentials Manchester, to families preparing to welcome their babies. 🧺👶

This is about more than providing essential baby items—it is about ensuring mothers feel supported, connected and cared for during the perinatal journey, particularly when they may be experiencing financial or social challenges.

A heartfelt thank you to Early Essentials for their continued support and partnership in helping us make a meaningful difference for local families. ❤️
