Be amazing. Our clinical pharmacology unit was established in 1976 and is part of Simbec-Orion.

With over 45 years of operation, we are one of Europe’s leading clinical research organisations providing clinical research services to both the European and international pharmaceutical industry. We are part of the MHRA Phase I Accreditation Scheme and have carried out over 1800 clinical trials. Our purpose-built UK 58-bed clinical unit is staffed and led by a team of experienced physicians/doctors, research nurses, physiologists, technicians who provide cover 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our full range of equipment and on-site facilities are designed to give volunteers and patients an informed and comfortable experience from screening through to trial completion.

We want to make sure you’re never out of pocket when you come to see us. Participants screening for or enrolling on our clinical trials receive a £75 travel expense flat fee for each required visit to our unit 🚗🎫

Fact!

Phase I trials often involve staying overnight with us, which means plenty of downtime between doses and medical checks.

We have designed our space with this in mind, providing free Wi-Fi, desks, and quiet recreation areas so you can comfortably bring your laptop, catch up on university assignments, or work remotely whilst staying on site.
