Samhain comes ever closer and strangely this year the season has called me to serve as funeral celebrant more than ever.

I have always wanted to do this. Call me morbid, but is it not the greatest honour of all?

I tell their stories, however long or short. Recall their energy, their humour, their very essence.

I stand aside and weep alongside their family, as they share their stories and grief.

Most of all, I get to see all the love that person felt, and continues to feel, wherever we go next.

To those I have had the pleasure to work with, I carry those tales with me in this life and the next.

Blessed be 🖤

On the day I die, don't cry for me
Don't worry, don't fret, don't sit and weep
Wherever we go, I won't be alone
My babies are waiting for me to come home.

Obsidian, Nova, Rowan and Archer, and those too quickly gone to have a name.

Saturday 31st of October is Samhain - All Hallow's Eve at The Medicine Wheel

We will have a table made to welcome and commemorate those who have left this world. Please feel free to bring a photo or trinket of your loved ones, to invite them to join us whilst the veil is thin.
