Hold Fast Body Arts - Minehead

25/10/2026

Slightly unusual post from us!

We’re looking for an experienced, professional painter and decorator who takes pride in their work, is clean and tidy, and delivers a really high standard of finish.

Must be reliable and available for potentially one to two weeks of work in Minehead, starting as soon as possible, with everything completed before Christmas.

We’d love to hear from anyone who fits the bill, or if you know someone brilliant you’d happily recommend, please do let us know!

Thank you kindly, folks! 😊

A new record for my biggest matching tattoo design has been set this week 😁

This one was for two sisters, one of whom unfortunately lost a very one sided bet and had to get her first big tattoo 😂

Absolutely loving this lobe combination 💚✨ That could be because moss agate is one of my all time favourite stones. Those gorgeous patterns look like tiny bits of moss growing inside the stone 😍 Paired with a sparkly trio, it’s such a beautiful combination & another reminder that your lobes don’t have to be boring.

⚠️ Tattoo deposit scam alert ⚠️

Today, after cleaning the dog wash, I was surprised to find a gentleman waiting at the tattoo shop door. He thought he was booked in for a tattoo at 4pm on a Sunday with an artist called Lucy. He’d booked online through a Facebook business page called “Ink By Lucy” and paid a £60 deposit.

Sadly, he’d been scammed. We don’t have an artist called Lucy, and we don’t usually open on Sundays.

This is a common scam in the tattoo industry. Scammers use pages and local community group posts to make fake bookings, then ask for a deposit. It can be easy to miss the warning signs when you’re arranging a tattoo.

We’ve advised him to report it to the police and contact his bank to try to recover the money. Even if the amount seems small, please report it. Following up can help stop someone else being caught out.

He’d replied to a post in a local community group. We don’t advertise tattoo work in Facebook community groups, so please be cautious if you see posts claiming to offer appointments on our behalf.

Our artists may ask for a deposit. You can pay in cash at the studio and receive a receipt, or by bank transfer using details provided by the artist through their business page. If you’re unsure whether a request is genuine, please:

• Call the studio to check
• Visit us and arrange it in person
• Message this page and we’ll confirm whether you’re speaking with one of our artists

Please share this to help keep people safe.
