Next thing she’s talking about collagen, skin barriers, menopause and why my skincare routine might need an intervention. 🚩🤣

Now I’m thinking about microneedling, LED, skin rejuvenation and ingredients I can’t even pronounce.

I’ve got a skincare plan, a newfound obsession with collagen and my bank account is getting nervous. 😭😂

Why is autumn a good time to reassess your skin plan?

Your skin in October may not be the same skin you had in June.

After summer, you might start noticing:

☀️ Pigmentation looking a little more obvious
💧 Skin feeling drier or more dehydrated
🍂 Dullness or uneven texture
✨ Fine lines becoming more noticeable
🌿 Changes in firmness or elasticity

And if you’re 45+, hormonal changes can make some of these seasonal changes feel even more noticeable.

But here’s the important bit…

That doesn’t automatically mean you need MORE treatments.

Sometimes your skincare needs adjusting.

Sometimes your skin needs hydration and barrier support.

Sometimes it may benefit from a peel, facial or collagen-stimulating treatment.

And sometimes… it needs us to leave it alone for a little while. 😂

That’s why I like to reassess rather than simply repeat what we’ve always done.

Autumn also gives us something very useful:

Time.

Time to work gradually on pigmentation, texture and skin quality.

Time to support collagen.

And time to get your skin looking healthier before Christmas without the December panic facial. 🎄😂

So rather than asking:

“What treatment should I book?”

Try asking:

“What does my skin actually need right now?”

That’s where a good skin plan starts.

WHO INVITED THESE LINES? 😂

If your skin is looking a little less firm, more crepey or just not quite as fresh as it used to, Plasma Microneedling could be worth a look.

So… what actually happens?

💉 Microneedling creates tiny controlled channels in the skin, stimulating the natural repair process.

You’re over 45, your skin has changed the rules…

Which one do I actually need?

Here’s the lovely bit.

You don’t need to know.

As our skin changes through our 40s, 50s and beyond, I don’t think the answer is simply more treatment.

It’s better treatment choices.

Chosen carefully.
Timed properly.
And based on your skin, your face and how you want to age.

Sometimes that might mean one treatment.

Sometimes it’s a carefully planned combination of regenerative treatments over several months.

And sometimes I might look at you and say…

“Actually, you don’t need that.”
