Loving the new Mint Leopard GUMMI Socks! 🐆🤍

Putting the latest GUMMI Socks pattern through its paces in Pilates this week!

As a physio and Pilates instructor, I’m always a fan of a good pair of grip socks — practical, comfortable and great for giving you that little bit of extra grip and confidence on the mat.

Even better when they look this good!

Lovely to be able to support a friend and a small business too. I think these might be my new favourites. 🐆

Have a look at Gummi Socks - Reformer Pilates, Barre & Yoga Grip Socks for their gorgeous range of grip socks.

It’s been a busy summer with some time away and family visiting from South Africa, but I’ve still been sneaking in the odd day of work in between!

Yesterday was one of those days and such an enjoyable one, combining an equine physiotherapy session with a ridden assessment and rider analysis.

I really enjoy being able to look at the whole picture — horse, rider and how the two influence each other and then finding small changes that can make a real difference to the partnership.

Definitely not a bad way to spend a working day! 💚🐴

“Tell me the physio spot is exactly there… without telling me 😂🐴

Safe to say this lovely boy had some big feelings during his vet physio session today!
The tongue, the faces, the dramatic expressions — all part of a very honest release and relaxation response. Horses really do have the best ways of telling us when something is hitting the right spot!

Behind the funny photos is an important reminder that bodywork can make a huge difference to comfort, tension, and overall wellbeing. And sometimes… it comes with a little theatre 🎭💆‍♂️

Watching Rach push herself to 100k for a cause close to her heart is pure inspiration. Every step she takes is a step toward changing lives—and I’m in awe. Go smash it, Rach!

Another happy horse, another happy owner 🐴✨

This was the effect Lucy had on Oscar during his last session — and we couldn’t be more pleased with his progress!

Here’s what his owner had to say:
“I’m very pleased with what she’s done with him so far. I only have positive things to say about Lucy, she’s been great.”

At Suné du Toit & Associates, we’re passionate about helping every horse move comfortably, perform better, and feel their best. Lucy, one of our dedicated associate veterinary physiotherapists, continues to deliver outstanding care and results.

Whether it’s rehabilitation, performance support, or general wellbeing, we’re here to help your horse thrive.

TENS, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, isn’t just for humans! It’s our secret weapon to boost circulation, ease tension, and give those equine muscles some well-deserved chill time.

Kinesiology taping applied following soft tissue release ✋🐎

In this case, I used a space correction technique to support the sacroiliac joint (SIJ). This method is designed to gently lift the skin away from the underlying tissues, helping to reduce pressure on pain receptors while encouraging improved circulation and fluid flow.

Taping can be a useful adjunct to hands-on treatment—supporting the work we’ve already done and helping the body continue the process between sessions.

Interestingly, research continues to explore its effectiveness. A recent study found that adding kinesiology taping to a rehabilitation programme for SIJ dysfunction led to greater improvements in pain and disability compared to exercise alone

Always tailored to the individual horse and their needs 🐴💚
