Autumn Breathwork, in the heart of Norwich.

This autumn I’ll be joining Feel Good Norfolk for Autumn Breathwork - a series of three immersive 90-minute sessions exploring different ways into the breath.

Moving between functional breathwork, somatic practice, conscious connected breathing and collective experience, each session is designed to shift your state, deepen awareness and change the way you experience breath.

OCTOBER - ARRIVE
Awaken the senses. Functional breathing, movement and somatic awareness - grounding the body and creating space to breathe with greater ease and intention.

NOVEMBER - CONNECT
Find your rhythm within the collective. Breath, presence and shared experience A - exploring how the way we breathe can influence how we feel, move and connect.

DECEMBER - RELEASE
Exhale, open, reconnect. An introduction to conscious connected breathwork, woven with somatic practice and stillness -a deeper, more expansive way to close the year.
Three sessions. Three approaches. One elemental practice -breath.

The sessions form part of Feel Good Norfolk’s Wednesday evening Move, Breathe & Sing series, bringing together movement, breath, voice, rest and connection.
No prior experience needed. Come to one session, try a few, or make all three part of your Wednesday evening ritual.

Holding space, beyond the studio.

A moment from Wellness in the Wild 2025, where Fai facilitated Conscious Connected Breathwork beneath the canvas and surrounded by nature.

This photograph was taken during the quieter first day. By day two, the session had grown to fill the tent, with people gathering both inside and beyond the canvas to take part, one of those moments where there was far more focus on holding the space than taking photographs.

Afterwards, some of the words shared to describe the session were grace, flow, clarity, safety, heart, purpose and leadership.

Moments like this are a reminder that the work of House of Breath isn’t confined to one space. From the studio in Norwich to events, retreats and collaborations further afield, the intention remains the same: to create spaces where people can slow down, reconnect and experience the breath in a supported way.

House of Breath is available for events, retreats, community spaces and collaborations across the UK and beyond.

The Breath & Sleep.

The first in a new series exploring how the way we breathe connects with the way we live, move, recover and feel.
We don’t stop breathing when we go to sleep and the patterns we carry throughout the day can continue into the night.

Dry mouth on waking, snoring, disrupted sleep, frequent waking or still feeling tired after a full night’s sleep can all be reasons to become a little more curious about how you’re breathing.

They don’t automatically mean your breathing is the cause. Sleep is complex and can be influenced by many things, but breathing is one part of the picture that can be explored.

Functional Breathwork looks at your individual breathing patterns and how they function across everyday life, including rest, sleep, movement and recovery.

If you’re curious about your own breathing, a 1:1 Breath Assessment is a good place to begin.

This October, I will be joining the female-led Awaken & Embody collective in Ibiza, bringing House of Breath into a wider six-day retreat experience.

From 8–13 October, the retreat brings together breathwork, movement, nutrition, sound, meditation, nervous system support and nourishment, with each practitioner bringing their own area of expertise to the experience.

My role will be to share the trauma-informed breathwork, sound and somatic practices that sit at the heart of House of Breath, creating space to explore the breath, nervous system, awareness and connection in a completely different environment.

I love opportunities to take this work beyond the studio and to collaborate with practitioners who bring different perspectives to health and wellbeing.

Awaken & Embody is currently welcoming enquiries for October. You can discover more about the retreat, the full collective and current availability via Jodie Perry-Bower

Wondering what happens during a Breath Assessment?
It all starts with understanding your unique breathing patterns.
Across two sessions we’ll explore how you’re currently breathing, discuss your goals, and create a personalised programme designed specifically for you.
We look beyond the breath in a single moment, exploring your everyday breathing patterns and how you breathe across rest, sleep and movement.
Because how you breathe can influence how you move, recover, perform and feel.
And getting started is now even simpler.
You can book and pay for your Breath Assessment directly online. Once booked, you’ll be guided to request your availability, allowing me to arrange your sessions around you and personalise the experience to your individual needs.
Available in person in Norwich + online.

A little more of life beyond the studio.
I spend a lot of time here talking about breath, the nervous system and the work we do at House of Breath. But there is, of course, a whole life around the work too.
Time outside. Conversations. Learning. Community. Family. Laughter. And plenty of life with Derek.

I’ve been thinking about sharing a little more of that here. Not every part of my life, but small glimpses of the person behind House of Breath and the things that continue to shape how I live and work.
Because for me, this work has never just been about what happens within a session.
It’s about how we live. How we connect. How we move through difficult moments. How we make space for calm, resilience, curiosity and joy alongside everything else life brings.

So you might be seeing a little more of life beyond the studio around here too.
And, inevitably, a little more of Derek.

No two people arrive at House of Breath needing exactly the same thing.
That’s why the work begins with the person, rather than the practice.
There is time to talk, to understand what’s happening for you and to explore what you might need from the space.
From there, the experience can look different for everyone. Breath, sound, somatic practices, stillness, movement and conversation can all form part of the work, depending on the session and the individual.

What remains consistent is the intention behind it: to create a space where you feel supported enough to explore, notice and experience the work at your own pace.

September & October at House of Breath.

As we move into a new season, the studio continues to offer spaces to pause, reconnect and meet yourself where you are.

Whether you’re completely new to breathwork, looking for a space to simply rest, or ready to explore the work more deeply, there are three ways to join us over the coming months:

The Gentle Breath Circle - an approachable introduction to Conscious Connected Breathwork, sound and somatic practice.

Return to Regulation - a deeper, carefully held exploration of breathwork and somatic practice, with choice and consent at the centre.

Resting Hour - an hour dedicated to slowing down, unwinding and allowing the body to settle.

Each offers something a little different. Swipe through to explore the sessions and find the space that feels right for you.

September & October dates are now open to book.

Why Functional Breathwork?
It’s a question I’m often asked.
For me, it comes from years of movement, sport and a fascination with how the body works.
Functional Breathwork is about the breath that’s already happening, your everyday breathing patterns, while you’re awake and while you sleep. It looks at the foundation beneath every movement, every recovery, every moment of rest and everyday life.
Because the way you breathe doesn’t exist separately from the way you live. It can influence how you move, sleep, recover, perform and feel.
I’ve seen first-hand how understanding and improving these everyday breathing patterns can create meaningful change, not just in sport, but across daily life.
It’s why Functional Breathwork has become such a big part of my work, and why I’m so passionate about sharing it with others.
How you breathe truly impacts how you live.
