Tudor House Medical Practice Welcome to the Tudor House Medical Practice page. Welcome to our practice page. We currently have almost 7000 patients on our list.

Tudor House Medical Practice has been providing Healthcare services to the Bestwood, Sherwood and surrounding areas for over 50 years. We provide all NHS contracted services and a wide number of Enhanced Services to ensure the best possible access for our patients. Our diverse clinical team are trained to deliver high quality care; this includes Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners/prescribers, Healthcare Assistants as well as our regular GPs – Dr Henry (Partner), Dr Lloyd (Partner) and Dr Simm. We also provide training posts for junior doctors (FY2), these are qualified doctors in their final placements before entering their chosen field of medicine. The reception team are trained to signpost you to the most appropriate clinician in practice or other service as necessary. They are trained and supported to do this to ensure we make the best use of all of our available appointments. We will update our page with any useful information and possibly some time critical messages so give us ‘Like’ and our posts should appear in your Facebook Feed. Please don’t put any personal information in the comments and note that we are unable to respond to complaints or requests for appointments/sick notes etc in this way so please call the practice where our reception team will be able to deal with your enquiry.

As you know, our car park is not very big so parking can sometimes be a struggle. This is made worse by people using our car park and going to the hospital for an appointment. We politely request that you only park at the practice when attending for an appointment here, not elsewhere.

In September 83 appointments were missed by our patients and already in October, after only 5 working days, we are at 23 missed appointments.

Missed appointments mean that other patients are waiting longer for appointments.

As we approach the winter season, and pressure on our appointments inevitably increases, we need to remind you that unfortunately anyone who misses 3 appointments in a 12 month period can be removed from our list. This is never a decision we take lightly and we will always try and consider extenuating circumstances. A warning letter will usually be issued after 2 missed appointments with any further missed ones triggering removal.

Appointments that are cancelled less than an hour before they are scheduled will usually be marked as not attended as it is unlikely we will be able to offer it to another patient.

SMS reminders will usually be sent 1 working day before the appointment but please don't rely on this; appointments will be visible on the NHS APP and you will usually get a confirmation when the appointment is booked so please make a note in diaries, reminders on phones or anything else that will help you remember.

We strive to provide good access to appointments but can only do this if appointments are used appropriately so please do help us by attending yours and if you do need to change it give us as much notice as possible so we can offer it to someone else.

A huge THANK YOU to all 601 patients who attended our flu clinic Sat 3rd Oct
We have received so much lovely feedback about how it ran like a 'military operation' but that the staff were 'helpful, friendly and welcoming'
It is always great to see so many patients eager to get their vaccination.
If you missed the clinic don't worry, give us a call as we still have some vaccines left.
