From reacting to responding.

In challenging moments, our first reaction can come quickly. But taking a moment to pause can help us look beyond the behaviour and consider what a young person might be feeling or communicating.

It’s not about getting every response right. It’s about making space for curiosity, empathy and understanding.

Because sometimes, a pause can make all the difference.

What helps you move from reacting to responding?

When a young person is struggling, our first instinct might be to focus on the behaviour. But sometimes, what they need most in that moment is connection, understanding and support. 💛

Taking a moment to pause, listen and understand what might be behind the behaviour can help young people feel safe enough to work through difficult emotions.

How do you build connection with a young person when they’re finding things difficult?

Fair Night at Hilltop!

Hilltop had a fantastic evening bringing the fun of the fair to dinner time! 🎠

The menu was packed with classic fairground favourites, including cheeseburgers, hot dogs, toffee apples and candy floss and, of course, we couldn’t forget the infamous mushy peas and mint sauce! 💚

Good food, plenty of fun and a little taste of the fairground right at home. 🎪✨

💬 Which fairground favourite would you choose?
