From the darkness of the void, something new is born. 🖤🌹

There are some things we cannot plan into being. They emerge from the dark. From the endings we never wish for, the thresholds we must walk, and the moments that change us so profoundly that we can never quite return to who we were before.

The Adeline Rose Mystery School was born in one such threshold.

It was in accompanying my own mother through the final passage of her life, in the sacred and devastatingly beautiful work of doulaing her dying, that something came full circle.

As I sat beside her at the edge of this world, I began to understand the cycle in its entirety. The teachings. The years of walking alongside women through their own thresholds of birth, becoming, loss, transformation and rebirth. The wisdom gathered, the practices embodied, the stories held, the knowledge passed between women. And then, the undeniable realisation that a cycle was completing.

My mother had been part of my becoming, just as I had been part of her final passage. In her leaving, something in me was also being called to change.

What had been gathered over more than 25 years of practice could no longer remain simply within the work I offered, the women I sat beside, or the ceremonies I held.

It was time for the teachings to find their next expression. And so, from the darkness of the void, the Adeline Rose Mystery School began to take shape.

A place for the teachings to be carried onwards. This is how the cycle continues.

The Adeline Rose Mystery School is my offering to that continuing cycle.

A legacy born not despite the darkness, but through it. And now, a new chapter begins. 🌹

SHE IS BEGINNING TO TAKE SHAPE. 🌑

Over these days of Samhain, I have been sharing the beginnings of a vision.

A vision born in the quiet spaces between what has been and what is yet to come.

A vision of a sanctuary rooted in the earth, held within the circular embrace of a yurt, and devoted to the ever-changing landscape of womanhood.

I am delighted to begin sharing the birth of:

✨ The Sanctuary at Rowan Grove — Womb Temple Yurt. ✨

A place for women to come together at the thresholds of their lives.

To explore the wisdom of the womb and the body.
To gather in circle and ceremony.
To experience practices that support reflection, connection and healing.
To learn, share, create and grow in community.
To honour the endings, beginnings and in-between spaces that shape us.

There will be circles, seasonal gatherings, womb-centred practices, workshops and opportunities to explore the mysteries of womanhood in relationship with the natural world.

This is not a finished story. It is a sanctuary in the making.

And perhaps that is the most fitting way for it to begin: in the season that reminds us that the unseen is not the same as the nonexistent, and that the darkness can be a place of gestation.

I look forward to sharing more as the space takes shape and its first gatherings come into being.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ARRIVE ALREADY WHOLE.

There is so much pressure on women to keep becoming better.

To heal faster.
To hold everything together.
To be the good mother, the capable woman, the wise one, the one who knows what she is doing.

But what if there were places where we could come without needing to have it all figured out?

Places where the questions could remain unanswered for a while.

Where we could sit in the uncertainty, speak the truths we have struggled to name, and be witnessed in the messy, beautiful process of being human.

This is part of the vision for The Sanctuary at Rowan Grove.

A Womb Temple Yurt rooted in the rhythms of the land, the wisdom of women's lived experiences and the power of gathering in circle.

A place for ceremony and reflection, womb-centred practices, learning, healing and growth.

A place where we can explore not only who we are becoming, but also what we are ready to lay down.

Not another space asking us to perform our healing.

But a place to meet ourselves with greater honesty, tenderness and connection.

This Samhain, as the natural world retreats into darkness, I am making room for the things that need time to emerge.

And I am dreaming of the women who will one day gather here.

A PLACE BETWEEN WORLDS.

There are seasons in a woman's life when the old ways of being no longer fit, yet the new have not fully revealed themselves.

The threshold of maiden to mother.
The becoming of the woman beyond motherhood.
The shifting landscapes of menstruation, fertility and menopause.
The quiet unraveling of an identity.
The meeting of grief, change, desire and possibility.

These are our liminal spaces.

The in-between places where we may feel uncertain, undone, tender or unfamiliar to ourselves.

And yet, these thresholds hold their own kind of wisdom. Over the last 25 years, I've walked beside women through all of these initiations, and more, and the one thing that I hear more and more is that women need a space to just be.

At Rowan Grove, I am birthing a space devoted to exploring these landscapes of womanhood and womb — a place where the body, the seasons, the cycles of life and the mysteries of becoming can be met with curiosity, reverence and care.

The Sanctuary at Rowan Grove will be a place to pause at the threshold.

To listen.
To remember.
To explore.
To tend to what is changing.

Because we were never meant to navigate every transformation without companionship.

The Sanctuary at Rowan Grove is beginning to take shape.

FROM THE VOID, SOMETHING STIRS.

There are moments in the turning of the wheel when the world asks us to become still.

Samhain is one of those thresholds.

The veil thins. The leaves fall. The earth draws her energy inward, returning to the darkness from which new life will eventually emerge.

It is a time of endings, of ancestors, of the unseen and the not-yet-born.
And it is within this darkness that something new is beginning to take shape at Rowan Grove.

A vision that has lived quietly within me for many years, is beginning to find its physical form.

Not born from certainty, but from the fertile unknown. Not rushed into being, but allowed to emerge in its own time. And it's certainly taken its sweet time.

A place for women to gather at the thresholds of their lives. To sit with what is ending, honour what is changing, and listen for what is waiting to be born.

This Samhain, I honour the void.

For sometimes, the most sacred beginnings happen long before the world can see them.

🔑 Something pretty spectacular happened today 🙌🏻

Around 6 years ago, I stood right here and said to my husband, “Wow! I’d love to live here, can you imagine?”

And imagine, dream, manifest I did. Hard. I had faith in myself, in my plan. I just *knew*

I took an almost unimaginable dream, and I turned it into reality.

Against ALL odds, today, TWO years, TWO months and TWO days after the YES, it’s finally ours 🙌🏻

I’m eternally grateful to my husband, my parents, my dear Mum who took the biggest leap of faith in me, and our amazing friends who held strong and believed in me and my wild crazy plans, even when the 💩just kept on hitting the fan. There’s no words of gratitude big enough to convey the rollercoaster of emotions wrapped up in this.

So for today, to my husband, my kids, my Dad, and always Mum. Welcome home 🏡
